Electrical Engineer

The qualified candidate will have 3+ years designing/implementing electronic hardware for embedded applications. Experience in the medical device industry and ISO certified quality management systems is highly desired.

Duties and responsibilities include

Lead the specification, design, and implementation of electronic subsystems for the company's next generation products. Includes design for analog, digital, low-power, low-noise, and wireless circuits; integration with mechanical and electrical interfaces; PCB design and layout. Oversees complete electronic subsystem life cycle. Participates in product definition and design specification processes. Write specification and design documentation. Manages sourcing and contract manufacturing of finished printed circuit assemblies. Identifies and recommends product, process, and design improvements.

Skills & Experience

Required:

• BSEE or related degree with 3+ years of industry experience designing, developing, and testing analog and digital circuits and circuit boards for commercial products, preferably medical devices.
• Demonstrated experience with: analog & digital circuit design; schematic capture, layout, and routing for electronic circuits and circuit boards (mixed signal, low noise, 6+ layers); power management, and EMC; electronic test equipment and processes to validate designs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Highly Desired

• Battery/power management, low power design.
• LiPoly charging circuit design.
• Mentor Graphics PADS, DxDesigner.
• Design for EMI compliance.
• RF, Bluetooth or equivalent wireless designs.
• Medical device design experience including familiarity CFDA regulatory compliance issues and IEC 60601-1 medical device requirements.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems compliant with ISO 13485 standards.
• Familiarity with neuro-stimulation technologies, mechanical design / 3D CAD, embedded firmware/software.
