Arup's Planning and Utilities Infrastructure practice offers a holistic approach to guide responsible and productive use of the land. Our practice includes master planning, environmental and ecological planning, control planning and economic development and emphasizes planning implementations under local contexts. We integrate these areas of expertise on projects of all scales and contexts for clients from public and private sectors to create sustainable communities, cities, regions.

Position Summary:

The Senior Urban Planner/Engineer is responsible for the development of solutions to policy and practical planning and implementation problems.

Responsibilities:

· Provides strategy development and technical solutions for medium to large scale planning and development projects.

· Plays a key role in the preparation of plans and renderings.

· Responsible for the completion of planning reports and policy documents for clients.

· Conducts site feasibility studies.

· Prepares documents to obtain necessary permits.

· Ensures that projects are executed properly, including assigning resources as necessary.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree (or above) in Planning or Civil Engineering or closely related fields.

· Candidates with expertise or experiences in utilities infrastructures are preferable.

· At least 5+ years of related experience as a planner or engineer.

· Familiar with the related policy, rules and methods of Chinese Urban design & planning. And experienced in physical applying and implementing the conceptual planning, master planning, and control planning of Chinese cities.

· Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
