Key Responsibilities

§ Architect highly reliable, scalable, extensible, maintainable, and operable next generation global advertising serving systems

§ Work closely with the engineering, product management, and research teams in different geographical locations to define and architect features and fine tune performance metrics

§ Help define and drive global architecture standards

Minimum Requirements

§ Strong expertise in large scale distributed systems design and implementation

§ Solid experience with object-oriented technologies, design patterns, and fault-tolerance engineering

§ In-depth knowledge of OS/Unix internals including areas such as threading, IPC, and TCP/IP networking

§ Understanding of database internals and implementation techniques

§ Solid background in high-performance engineering

§ Practical experience in search engines and/or ad serving systems

§ Must have strong knowledge and keen interest in emerging tools and technologies

§ Fluent oral English communication

§ Precise written communication in Chinese and English

Preferred Job Qualifications

§ MS in Computer Science or related field, Ph.D. preferred

§ 8+ years of commercial software development

§ 4+ years of technical leadership with architect responsibilities

§ Experience with machine learning algorithms and/or statistical methods in computation

§ Familiarity with information retrieval techniques
