Job Description:

?The primary role and key responsibilities of a Connect Sourcing Global Component Engineer is to manage their assigned commodities for:

1) Component Codification: aligning part request efficiency with standardization and appropriate part duplication to assure quality and system data requirements in line with ETM project milestones and documentation requirements.

2) Component Qualification: qualify supplier parts in a timely manner to meet performance (quality, reliability, form, fit, function) requirement while meeting preferred supplier and dual approval goals in line with ETM project milestones.

3) Component Technology: Be the technology expert by maintaining effective commodity qualification data packages and supporting R&D and Sourcing with technology excellence, preferred technologies and suppliers.

4) Component Risk Management: Manage risk by maintaining and communicate proactive technology/supplier risk matrix and managing reactive component quality alerts and PCNs.?

5) Act as Lead Component Engineering for APAC region.

Candidate Profile:

?University degree as an Electrical Engineer, Physics – prefer with at least 5 years of Component/specification/qualification experience with electrical components.?
