You will be responsible to install and manage systems running Linux, in an advanced engineering environment. Your routine tasks are system provisioning, updating, inventory, monitoring and diagnosis.

You must follows company policy and procedures to administrate various IT infrastructure services.

You will manage IT assets for your assigned site in it lift cycle from procurement, deployment, until retirement

• Data center operation

o You manage a data center to ensure high availability, reliability and scalability

· Customer support:

o You will support developer who work on systems running Linux.

o You share on-call duties with regional IT team, provides proper solutions or escalation paths.

o You need to write technical documents, provide training on procedures and present solutions in a professional manner.

· IT Projects

o You will work on project that create new IT service, or improve current services

o You work with the project manager and other project team members to deliver project result within constrains like scope of work, schedule and cost.

Requirements

Education:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Technology or engineering education, with at least 2 years of work experience in IT;

Proficient with Linux operating systems.

• A certification like Red Hat Certified Linux Engineer or equivalent.
• Comfortable working with common Unix command line tools
• Understand network services like IP, TCP, UDP, DHCP, NFS, LDAP, DNS, NIS, etc.
• Able to write scripts or applications in one or more languages listed below: Shell, PHP, Perl, python, Ruby, javascript
• Experience with virtualization or distributed computing environment is a plus.
• Experience in working on computers on network remotely, able to setup secure connections between computers.
• Understand interoperability problems when Linux systems and Windows systems are used together.

Knowledge on computer hardware

• Experience in opening up computer and replacing internal parts.
• Experience in setting up network for more than 10 computers
• Travel is required

• Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. Job requires reading and writing specifications, documenting system changes and presenting to internal audience.
