Job Description:

Opportunity This is a NCE role in GSP group, a major services group within Cisco. Role & Responsibilities: · Support the development and delivery of Cisco Advanced Services Optimization deliverables

· Performs analysis and diagnosis of highly complex networking problems.

· Performs analysis of highly complex network designs.

· Builds simulated networks in test labs to resolve highly complex problems and compatibility issues

. The NCE may perform any of the following components of the role breakdown depending on specific engagements. Transactional Projects Project Engineering role:

· Conduct Network Assessment, develop remediation plans

· Generates standard project documentation including Customer Requirements Documents, High Level Design, Low-Level designs or detailed test plan for highly complex networks.

· Generates network configurations from Low Level Design for highly complex networks.

· Plans and executes highly complex Network Upgrade and Network Migration activity.

· Provide informal knowledge training on technical topics or related deliverables Proactive Service & Support: · In support of Cisco Advanced Services NOS delivery lead Software Strategy, Proactive Software Recommendations and periodic critical defect analysis reviews

· Conduct Network, platform and technology stability audits

· Develop Network Improvement Plans Reactive Service & Support: - Troubleshoots and resolves highly complex customer network problems across a broad range of technologies.

· Acts as a focal point for highly complex network problem resolution. Advanced Services Technology Specialization Teams:

· Provides training to other NCE's as well as real-time escalation response for support issues.

· Owns responsibility for driving regional Advanced Services projects. Technical Skills :

· Wireless CCIE certification is highly preferred.

· Must have a minimum of 6 years or relevant experience including extensive knowledge and experience with 802.11 Wireless LAN technologies in both indoor and outdoor solutions in addition to a strong Cisco routing and switching background.

· Pre and post sales consulting experience.

· Strong knowledge of 802.11 technologies, 3G/4G alternatives and how they relate to 802.11.

· Strong knowledge of Router/Switch and network security technologies

· Mobile network management – WCS, NCS, Cisco Prime.

Mobile services such as guest access, location services, RFID, etc.

· Mobile device management, third party partner capabilities.

· Industry knowledge, competitive capabilities and offerings. (Aruba, Motorola, Ruckus, Juniper)

· Security as it applies to mobility and BYOD.

· Deep understanding of the Identity Services Engine.

· Deep understanding of Policy management, Access control, Authentication mechanisms, user and device identity and containerization.

· Mobile device provisioning onto the corporate network.

· VPN portal architectures and the AnyConnect Client.

· Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills are required.
