Location: Miyun, Beijing (with shuttle buses/ North, South & Tongzhou)


BASIC FUNCTION

A business unit Supply Chain lead, with accountability for China Faucets Supply Chain deliverables. Serve as the organizational leader in the development, application and deployment of Supply Chain Operating System. Responsible for effective business processes that support the delivery of the Supply Chain Systems projects and programs necessary to support the regional business and growth requirements.

Heads a team of Supply Chain functions and specialists charged with exceeding customer satisfaction in the most cost and cash efficient manner possible. Develop and enhance the order forecasting and planning model to achieve systematic proactive delivery and inventory management. Manage the supply of all materials required for market and coordinating products movement with operations effectively. Assures order fulfillment and delivery from customer order receiving to shipment. Drive improvements on supply / demand planning, Make & Sourcing Scheduling and matieral flow that both create a flexible reactive supply chain capable of meeting our customer’s needs. Directs supply chain program activities over the complete project life cycle and ensures business process improvement and best practices are utilized to achieve tangible business result.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Responsible for the Implementation of Global Kohler Faucet Supply Chain strategies and processes within the region including but not limited to Regional IBP, Regional Complexity management, global supply planning and coordination, regional inventory planning and management, regionalization / supply chain speed projects and the implementation of Global IT best practices and tools.

2. Manage the business in the most cost and cash efficient manner possible. Assess supply resources, aggregate and prioritize demand requirements, plan inventory, distribution requirements and production scheduling.

3. Lead the regional businesses in developing efficient materials management and materials flow processes including a plan for every part (PFEP), material pull / KanBan programs, efficient line replenishment and line-level part presentation. Work with plant level staff to ensure that material movement and flow supports a safe and efficient working environment for all associates.

4. Lead the Regional Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process. Interface with all stakeholder (Regional Product Development, Sales/Marketing, Supply Chain, Operation and Finance) to review forecast & order backlog, and update forecast in SAP system on a monthly basis. Lead and ongoing capacity analysis and planning review to ensure that the overall capacity of china faucets plants can meet short-term and long-term marketing requirement.

5. Develop both plant-level and regional dsashboards to measure the progress of the regional supply chain performance taking corrective actions where necessary to ensure that the regional performance remains in line with global and regional business objectives.

6. Ensure manufacturing and volumes are planned in accordance with customer needs, and financial operating performance targets.

7. Manage inventory levels to maximize profitability while ensuring timely response to customers. This includes the management and responsibility for regional excess and obsolescence costs.

8. Liaison with regional Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain to work out an optimized supply plan for NPD projects and resolve any capacity, capability or priority issues to ensure effective NPD project execution.

9. Take a leading role in SKU rationalization to optimize SKU productivity in terms of sales and margin contribution, which may involve retiring SKUs on a periodical basis and regulate new SKU introduction.

10. Optimize export and domestic logistics process delivering a cost optimal solution while improve service (external and inter company).

11. Responsible for special request from customers, changes or unexpected disturbance in product supply or contingent situations.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor degree in Supply Chain or Operations. Advanced degree in business administration or operations management highly desirable.

2. Over 10 years of supply chain, manufacturing engineering or operations experience, and 5 years of management responsibility in a medium volume / medium mix descrete manufacturing environment, where quality, innovation, and time-to-market are priorities.

3. 3-5 year experience running and leading an Intergrated Business Planning Process.

4. Experience that supports strong ability to collaborate with senior leadership and project managers to define business process issues, analyze operational efficiencies, implement creative solutions and measure delivery results, in the areas of supply chain and new product integration.

5. Experience with SAP or comparable Business Enterprise System is highly preferred.

6. 3-5 years of proven continuous improvement experience including a Lean or Six Sigma Black strongly preferred.
