Tasks:

• Responsible drives products main circuit design, such as power electronics component dimensioning, power supply design etc
• Responsible for design verification in the development phase, including functional, EMC, environmental tests, as well as related documentation and writing reports in English language
• Troubleshooting and improving designs and supporting the whole team in the same
• Work with cross functional team members in the local and global ABB organization

Requirements (must have):

• Master’s degree, preferably in the area of power electronics engineering
• Minimum 8 years work experience in design of power electronics or similar area
• Comprehensive understanding of power electronics, electrical circuits and electromagnetic theories (EMC).
• Knowledge and design experience on SMPS, IGBT components and related gate driver circuits, inductors, capacitors, etc.
• Experience of participation in the development of products from proof of concept to production ramp-up in R&D projects.
• Knowledge on drives product, and key components selection principles
• Able to perform and lead systematical problem solving and root cause analysis
• Experience of simulation tools such as Simulink, PSpice, Saber, Mathcad
• Good communication skills in both Chinese and English
• Willing to take challenges and willing to learn
• Open minded and willing to share knowledge with the team
• Show initiative, work systematically and goal-oriented
• 有变频器（或UPS，或风电系统）相关产品的工作经验

Requirements (good to have):

• Understanding on electronics production process and test (DFM, DFT)
• Knowledge on international standards and certification, preferably drive product related standards, EMC, LVD, UL.
• Work or study experience abroad or in an international company
