Job Summary

Manage multiple complex projects that are focused on new product development and current production deployment. Responsible for the coordination of all resources needed to achieve new product development project goals and targeted timelines including sourcing, quality, and supply chain. Will work globally to gain product knowledge and provide project updates on a regular basis. Reports to the Director of Operations and this role will be the successor.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Manage all new product development projects that utilize supply chain solutions with high accuracy execution.

2) Work with the Director of China Operations to allocate appropriate resources of sourcing, quality, and supply chain that are needed to achieve successful timing and outcomes of each product development project with on time execution results.

3) Work cross functionally with global team to ensure transparent communications on a frequent basis.

4) Develop a detailed project plan and schedule for all projects and associated meetings, measure project performance against goal and evaluate project risks of timing or product performance to minimize project risks.

5) Conduct post project evaluations and assessment to original project goal with team including all impacts due to revisions to project scope, schedule changes, and cost targets to be used for the next product development cycle.

6) Indirectly manage project team members to ensure full implementations of pilot production including the PPAP process. Ensure PPAP to be completed with limited deviations to the process.

7) Provide leadership & direction for the China sourcing team to prepare for any future supplier selection needs, all quoting projects of existing items to a successful outcome.

8) Participate in the accuracy of all product data packs (RFQ, BOM, Print, Product Standard), new product development product quotes, costed bill of materials (CBOM) and should be cost structures and programs.

9) Set up, optimize, and store all related working processes and tools used to streamline operation effectiveness and efficiency of the team and our suppliers including all ECR implementation activities with no disruption to the supply chain.

10) Coaching team members towards increased ownership of the China supplier’s quality capability. Setting expectations of an upgraded supplier quality management system by using knowledge of ISO 9001, 6-sigma, and Lean principles.

11) Manage and optimize supplier monthly DPPM and quality meeting with both suppliers and Lamplight Farms to ensure corresponding corrective actions to be implemented so corresponding improvements can be observed in the next few months’ DPPM reports

12) Participate in the management of supplier QBR (Quarterly Business Review), update leadership of all product issues or problems relating to product deliveries including all supplier performance issues and improvement plans.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

I. Bachelor Degree in Engineering or similar technical field.

II. Ability to technically understand manufacturing processes in detail including lean terms and principles

III. Demonstrated project management experience for a minimum of 6 years with strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools such as Microsoft Project and other related software.

IV. Exposed to sourcing activities or principles for at least 3 years in a relevant consumer product industry or equivalent.

V. Time management skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing demands for time along with exceptional team management skills and the ability to successfully lead the work of a diverse team towards a common goal.

VI. Ability to effectively communicate in English and Mandarin; both verbally and in writing.

VII. Problem solving skills and the ability to think outside the box in difficult situations with little direction.

VIII. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

IX. Effectively communicate with persons of various personality types and levels within the organization.

X. Honest, dedicative, creative, straight forward, smart and loyal.

XI. Ability to work in a global and results oriented environment.

XII. Capability and willingness to travel for 50% of the time.

XIII. Mastery of using a Personal Computer (PC) to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

? Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree preferred

? Lean/ Six Sigma certified

? Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)

? Master’s Degree in technical field

? Leadership position held in production / shop environment

? Previous work with big box retailers such as Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe’s & Target.
