SUMMARY:

Prepares design specifications, drawings, 3D model and/or performs other engineering tasks using prescribed methods and procedures. Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques and methods to assignments with few unusual or complex features. Uses judgment to make minor adaptations and modifications. May serve as the discipline engineer on a project and may review the work of less experienced engineers. Recognizes problems, discrepancies and areas of technical complexity and requests help when needed. Receives instructions on performance of assignment, objectives and complex features. A more experienced engineer provides assistance and reviews unusual aspects of work for sound judgment and proper application of methods.

Essential Job Functions:

Prepares or check code calculations following prescribed methods, procedures and software.

Prepare, check and/or reviews pressure parts drawings and 3D model for compliance with design standard and relative practice.

Prepares technical specifications for pressure parts.

Coordinates and interfaces with pressure part suppliers.

Prepares technical evaluations of supplier’s proposals.

Works effectively and communicates with customers, other technical disciplines, and the organization’s project management team.

Check or Review detail design delivery from Pressure parts Sub DI

Prepare or check/review pressure parts quantities

Essential Job Functions under Certain Circumstances:

Provides training and assistance to less experienced engineers or pressure part sub detailing designer.

Reviews or check shop deliverables

May serve as the discipline engineer in specified project.

Suggests product design and work process improvements, when necessary.

May serve as piping designer per the actual work load

Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Should have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and possess well-developed knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

Working knowledge of the organization’s technology in general and comprehensive knowledge of mechanical design methods and practices in particular.

2+ years of related engineering experience.

Skills Requirements:

Ability to plan, organizes, and coordinate one’s work.

Fluency in English and excellent English writing. Familiarity to engineering and technical terms in both English and Chinese.

Strong and effective communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities.

Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills, shares expertise with others.

Familiarity with industry standard CAD and 3D software packages.

Physical Requirements:

Occasional travel to other offices and jobsites, workshop will be required.
