OVERVIEW:

Working as a full time Strategic Accounts Sourcing, you will research and complete formal Requests for Quotes (RFQ's) from some of Fastenal Company's largest customers. Completing these RFQ's requires the individual to work closely with the following groups: Fastenal Sales Teams, Fastenal Product Development Teams, Manufacturers and most importantly, Customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

- Researching and performing formal requests for quotes/purchase orders

- Understanding Fastenal's products and learning about new products and the industries that Fastenal serves

- Monitoring progress of quotes/purchase orders in order to meet customer deadlines

- Analyzing and Negotiating cost with suppliers

- Identifying qualified suppliers to support new business

- Creating cost savings opportunities

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite

- Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented

- Possess strong organization, planning, prioritizing abilities and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment

- Proficiency in written and spoken English
