Objective of job

• Build up API Management Strategy based on BU demands and promote it to company level and even global level if applicable.
• Develop & Implement API Management platform based on China Specific service landscape of CA Layer 7 and APIGee in terms of customized IAM(identity and access management), Monitoring, Disaster recovery, API standardization to support Digital Transformation and Business Growth.
• Lead the China API Management Operations setup include: Service Scope, Service Catalog, Cost Structure, and SLA & Daily Operation Management.
• Lead local API Management operation Support and Continuous API Integration support in develops way.

Qualification

• Education
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent higher education
• Experience
• 3+ years hands on working experience on managing the full life-cycle of APIGee/API management solution which includes creating the requirements analysis, the platform selection, design of the technical architecture, design of the application design and development, testing, and deployment of the proposed solution.
• 5+ years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications
• Development and Implementation Experience of CA Layer 7 and APIGee solutions
• Experience in working in an agile delivery environment acting as Ops responsible in DevOps team
• Experience in Coordination of activities with project stakeholders from Development Teams, offshore team, internal groups, Middleware, DBA and other technical groups
• Experience in Coordination of installation, configuration, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quick resolution of problems of the most complex nature
• Strong interpersonal skills. Able to work independently and perform well under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Specific Knowledge
• Strong verbal and written in Mandarin and English skills
• Deep knowledge in Apigee, CA Layer 7, Java, Object Oriented programming, Restful/SOAP services
• In-depth knowledge in Apigee Edge, Apigee Analytics (Insights), node.js, Web Services or similar API Management tools * NoSQL databases – Cassandra * Thorough in Web Services and RESTFul design and development
• Proficient with Qpid, Zookeeper, Cassandra maintenance to support APIGEE environment
• Proficient in Drupal, PHP for APIGEE Dev portal maintenance
• In-depth knowledge on Apache
• Knowledge on the DevOps automated delivery pipeline (CD/CI) and Micro services
• Experience as a project consultant for IT Application Project from Infrastructure point of view
• Certificate of APIGee and CA Layer 7 will be an advantage

Task Description

• Architect of API Management
• Lead China API Management solutions based on China BU requirement
• Lead China API Management platform setup based on APIGee and CA Layer 7
• Consolidate local requirements gathered from different business units to local level
• Sync up with global product owner of one API on HQ guidelines reference and China specific architecture alignment
• Provide technical guidance regarding API Integration, API development and etc.
• Provide architecture analysis and solution review to the new demands and applications to guarantee the IT infrastructure landscape and usage of API Management technology grows in the predefined direction. Take lead in the engagement to perform high-level and in-depth solution presentation and proposal to business units. Work with API Management vendors to ensure the new solutions will comply with the ITS China architecture strategy. Collaborate with demand and project teams as required
• DevOps Support of API Management
• Be part of the ITx application project team for specific complex projects, responsible for the digital technology initiatives from IT Infrastructure perspective supporting whole lifecycle of application design, implementation and operations.
• Maintains and continuously improves the Continuous Delivery pipeline. Ensures the baseline is always coherent, and quality clearly assessed and reported
• Manages technical response during critical incidents.
• Supports and collaborates with developers and application owners and their working environment
• One API Operation Management
• Lead the China API Management Operation Model setup include: Service Scope, Service Catalog, Cost Structure, and SLA & Daily Operation Management.
• Setup local API Management Operation Model and Lead local operation support for all ITI/OC Services
• Develop and realize technical solutions to provide and maintain high availability, flexibility of all Services landing in ITI/OC managed API Management (i.e. CA Layer 7 or APIGee)
• Manage Operation Partners for day-to-day cloud operations based on defined SLA
