Position: IT Server and Database Technologies

Division/Department: ITP Region China

Location: Beijing

Main goals and objectives:

Focus on servers and their operating systems. virtualization and database technologies. daily operation and project, managing related outsourced resources of IMS (Infrastructure management service) team of Region China.

• Supplier
  management and coordination
• Contract
  management
• Service management
  with ownership of the whole service and technology lifecycle
• Security
  management, assuring VW Group IT Security Regulations and Standards are
  applied and security levels are continuous improved
• Project planning and
  execution including but not limited to initiation, budget, planning,
  bidding and contract, execution, monitoring and payment.
• Establishment of
  processes and corresponding documentation (process and knowledge
  management) and reporting
• Technical and functional
  supervision of contracted parties
• Support budget
  planning processes, control the projects and services within the planned
  budget
• KPl-driven
  continuous improvement and optimization based on \/W Group and
  international standards for IT services and projects
• Monitoring and
  reporting
• Technical
  consultancy for Server Technologies and Infrastructure Application in all
  regional companies
• Planning, Design,
  Implementation, Operation and Continuous Improvement of IT services based
  on company needs, in line with group and international standards (ITIL) in
  the IT Server Technology and IMS Area with focus on Virtualization and
  Cloud Technologies, Unix (Linux) and Database Technologies and related
  infrastructure components and services.

Your Responsibilities:

• Setup and manage
  projects by international industry project management standard (PMP)
  especially focused on scope. budget. quality, time and resources
• Manage
  partners/vendors to deliver the requested products. solutions and services
• Finalize the
  project delivery with completed documentation
• Make sure the
  handover process to operation is fully defined and executed

Our Requirements:

Necessary education:

• Bachelor or higher
  degree in computer science or equivalent
• Additional master
  in business administration or business science would be an advantage

Technical skills:

The position requires expert knowledge in Database, Operating System, Cloud Nirtualization and server technologies, and deep experience in operation and project management. Good understanding of ITIL v3 and PMP is helpful.

Working experience (in years):

• Experience in
  technical work (> 4 years)
• Experience in IT
  Service Delivery and Monitoring (>2 years)

  Service Planning, Delivery and Optimization (incl. Budgeting)
• Experience driving
  request for information (RFI) and request for proposal (RFP) processes and
  evaluate the technical proposals
• Experience to
  establish new IT Services including Transition and Knowledge Transfer
• Experience in
  leading Project Teams
• Experience in
  managing partners/vendors to deliver the requested products, solutions and
  services
• Experience in
  Documentation and Reporting

Remarks (Language, IT Knowledge, Certificates etc.):

• English fluent
  & Chinese fluent, German beneficial
• PMP certification
  would be an advantage
