Job Description Summary

The primary role of the Workplace Strategy Manager is to manage workplace strategy projects, conduct their own research, data gathering and analysis as well as oversee the work of the Analysts in the development of workplace solutions for clients. The Strategist will complete reports, proposal writing, presentations and will provide some client interface with regards to interviews, observations and focus groups. This requires the Strategist to collaborate with senior team members on every part of the consulting process including working with clients to understand their business and develop recommendations.

Responsibilities

-Manage client project from scope definition to delivery

-With senior team member, develop and communicate project hypotheses and conclusions

-Create project schedules, activities, resource plans and final reports

-Coordination of workplace design, change management and technology best practices and solutions with the client’s culture, business and people

Synthesize the output gained from floor plans, occupancy data, technology assumptions, observations, surveys, interviews and focus groups into opportunities and recommendations for client presentation materials including people, place, technology recommendations and space metrics

-Conduct workplace research and analysis in support of client projects and development of white papers and publications

-Oversee and participate in the development and presentation of materials and ensure the final product is succinct and delivers a powerful message. Ensure presentations are clear, address client questions and goals.

-Project Manage Workplace engagements from start to finish, coordinating various work streams, assigning project work and managing client expectations to ensure timely project delivery

-Review quantitative and qualitative analysis of data

-Look for and make recommendations to apply new industry tools/technology to current projects

-25% travel within China

Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree in Design or related discipline

-Minimum 3 years’ consulting experience, preferably in workplace strategy, space planning, architecture or interior design

-Demonstrated Project Management Skills

-Solid understanding of workplace technologies

-Sound knowledge in change management and customer experience initiatives

-Excellent time management, analytical and problem solving skills

-Exceptional organizational skills; able to balance multiple priorities and projects, -keeping all team members informed of progress and issues

-Superior writing skills that are sufficient to create professional presentations and reports

-Effective communication skills with an ability to share and synthesize knowledge

-Proficiency with spreadsheet and presentation software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

-Fluency in English is a must.
