Primary Responsibilities:

The role of the ‘Manuf IT Engineer (Network/Security Specialist)’ in Shanghai as part of the Asia IT Manufacturing Team will be

1) Network/Security Specialist for Shanghai Manufacturing Operations & responsible to install, maintain and support perimeter security devices as well as network devices for SH Site Manuf / Banking Perso NW with associated customers. The Goal is to ensure the smooth operation of perimeter security device as well as network devices in order to provide maximum performance, protection, and availability for users. This includes,

2) IT Resource to support Gemalto Shanghai factory Manufacturing IT Operations & responsible to,

- Support SH Manufacturing & Banking Perso information systems including IT infrastructure, servers and applications; coordinates all the IT support activities in Shanghai with regional and Regional/HQ IT team;

- Work with other Gemalto function team to deploy customized project.

- Maintain a high level of IT services availability and practice IT Security standard support to

ensure compliance with various PCI certification requirements

- Ensure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with business users & monitoring of IT systems performance.

Job Description

§ Configure and troubleshoot IDS, IPS, and Firewalls

§ Build and support security and network related infrastructure systems

§ Monitor alarms of network and perimeter security systems and other Gemalto application systems

§ Respond to supporting tickets, perform troubleshooting on IT devices and applications

§ Maintain and administer network/perimeter security/other Gemalto applications standards, documentation, processes and procedures.

§ Ensure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with business users and monitoring of IT systems performance.

§ Close co-operation with regional and global IT Departments in order to follow Gemalto’s worldwide IT expertise and guidelines

§ Close coordinate with those customized projects. To be a IT player role of these project, organize resource, deal with blocking points.

§ Support IT security audits; maintain a high standard of IT security; Support and compliance with various audits requirements related to IT such as GSM, Visa, Master, etc.

Reporting

The position reports directly to Gemalto China Manufacturing IT Manager based in Shanghai

Education

§ Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering/Electronics/Computer Science or equivalent

Experience:

§ 3-5 years of proven experience in mission critical IT Operations & End-User Support envs

§ Experience with firewalls/VPN solutions

§ Experience with Cisco network

§ Experience with Windows server, Structured Cabling documentation standards and diagramming

§ Experience of Knowledge of IT Security and exposure to IT audit will be an advantage.

§ Knowledge of Linux / Open Source tools and applications will be an advantage

Skills

§ Fluent in spoken and written English.

§ Excellent skills with - Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must

§ Strong understanding of project management principles

§ Ability to work in a team environment and/or as an individual contributor, as required.

§ Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
