Design of mechanics

· 3D modelling using Catia and SolidWorks software.

· Implement and design specified features to products.

· Documentation of design including the needed manufacturing documents and documentation for customer.

Reviews

· Understand and review customer provided specifications for product

· Discuss and verify specification with customer

· Cross check other designers design and related documentation

Prototype testing

· Responsibility for testing the prototypes

Verification of the design

Participate the verification of the design

Other tasks

Co-operation with customers

· Technical issues concerning particular product and project both online and on site.

Participate the development of the mechanics design methods

· Responsibility tasks (for example maintenance of the component libraries and maintenance of the design manuals)

Manufacturing and other stakeholder support

· Technical product support for manufacturing and supporting functions (for example documentation and process development).

· Supporting sales and purchasing teams in mechanics related matters.

Supporting the other design teams

· Technical product support for other design teams (for example tester design, electronics design and tester maintenance)

Education:

· Suitable technical education (BSc, MSc or equivalent)

Work experience:

· Some years of experience in the field of mechanical design

Special know how:

· Good knowledge of design methods and design tools

· Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods

· Good knowledge of external and internal design standards

· Ability to produce specifications for mechanics from customer requirements

· Machinery, tooling, molding, tolerance and material knowledge

· Basic knowledge of PCBs and flexible PCBs

· Good co-operation and communication skills

· Ability to be flexible in fast customer projects

· Ability to identify relevant customer specific requirements

· Ability to approach problems and solve them in an analytical matter

Language skills:

· Fluent written and spoken English

· Other language skills considered as an advantage
