Responsibilities

职位职责

• Responsible for Code and Approval activities for cast-in products in China with main focus on anchor channels.

• Strategic development of code environment for cast-in products. Support in defining MO-China’s Codes and Standards strategy, set priorities in alignment between MO & BUs.

• Development of Chinese national and regional Codes and Standards. Requirement: Understand the framework of Chinese codes and standards, the procedure of creating new codes and revising existing codes and know the administrative authorities including organizations and people.

• Participation in code committees, technical support to key influencers, coordinate technical involvement of key experts, work out code language.

• Write articles and participate in national and international technical symposiums, seminars to influence the industry. Build and maintain strong relationship with key code officials, industry leaders and key decision makers on an academic level as well as on a personal level.

• Guarantee compliance with tech. data and approvals. Requirement: Good understanding of Hilti’s cast-in products and applications from technical point of view.

• Create level playing field for product qualification and design.

• Coordination of testing and research projects related to code writing at selected National Universities /Institutions (i.e. CABR/Tsinghua Univ./Tongji Univ.) and participate in international research cooperation supporting code development efforts through technical know-how and state-of-the-art technology.

• Competitor analysis and alignment with key stakeholders from competition. Requirement: Understand differentiation and advantages and disadvantages of Hilti’s cast-in products.

• Active, self-responsible part in global project team. Work in close cooperation with other functions like quality, manufacturing, testing, marketing. Alignment with Market Organization on relevance of codes and timeline of code activities.

• Team member of HAG – ANT (Hilti AG) located in Hilti China, Beijing to build up network in code writing.

• Conduct Codes and Standards training for MO and Field Engineers. Let FEs understand the in-depth technical knowledge behind the code requirements.

• Keep updated on current international technical know-how and state-of-the-art technology by constantly developing own functional expertise in the relevant subject matters and participate in exchange program with A1 & HAG.

Minimum Experience & Qualifications

• University graduate (bachelor degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with strong academic background). An advanced degree will be considered a plus

• At least 3 years working experience/research experience in multidiscipline structural design (reinforced concrete, steel construction, etc.), international experience preferred (e.g. study or work abroad (US or Europe). Ideally a former Hilti Client/Customer with a basic understanding of how Hilti technical products are specified and used by Consultants.

• Good knowledge of local building codes, international code knowledge preferred

• Basic understanding in fastening technology

• PC knowledge in all relevant Microsoft Windows applications (Power Point, Excel, Word).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English and Mandarin.

• High innovation and problem-solving skills with a drive to implement solutions.

• Analytical and organizational skills.

• Specialized experience in technical data creation, testing, understanding of load-bearing behavior of anchor products and design calculations preferable

• Result oriented and pro-active, able to get things done and consistently overachieve goals and objectives. Independent and self-responsible manner of working. Effective in working in a complex environment with different stakeholders. Works with integrity in all situations. Mobile for potential future assignments throughout the Hilti Group.

• Likes to work in an international, multi-national environment, familiar with Asian (Chinese) culture and environment and willingness to share this with Western colleagues with an understanding for cultural variances

• Willingness to travel internationally
