Major Responsibilities

• Assist Finance management in the preparation of Risk and Control Assessments (“RCA”) including confirmation of scope, identification of key risks, assigning risk prioritization, identification and assessment of design and operating effectiveness of key controls to mitigate operational risks.
• Oversee internal control monitoring including development of a monitoring plan, assess progress against plan, assess the design and operating effectiveness, report results, support development of action plans and oversee remediation for all controls assesses as “ineffective” or “needs improvement” , and challenge procedures covering areas under review.
• Escalate operational risk incidents and remediation to Regional/Global Lead BRCM where appropriate, to enable knowledge sharing across Finance.
• Ensure ORION is the system of record for all operational risk activities (RCAs, control monitoring results, issues and actions, incidents etc) and is updated on a timely basis.
• Contribute/participate in the assessment of Operational Risk within significant projects and ensure risks are adequately mitigated.

Incumbent Requirements

• Bachelor degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance, accounting or auditing.
• Strong self-motivation and leadership, with decision making power, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Well versed with the Bank’s core banking systems and related operational and control risks on accounting and reporting.
• Proficiency in both Chinese and English, with good knowledge of PC application software.
