Location: China- Shanghai
The position advertised is that of Immigration Manager. China is a key destination for our Global Clients and compliance with the Immigration regulations is a key point to a successful relocation and assignment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of a full range of high quality Immigration services to clients based in Shanghai and other cities in China. As the Immigration manager the successful candidate will report directly to the Regional Immigration manager based in Bangkok and work closely with the Senior Immigration practice leaders based in Frankfurt and London. The role will involve the direct line manage an in house service delivery team of three Immigration consultants and support staff.
Key Responsibilities
Subject matter expert and key point of contact and escalation point for corporate clients- providing research and advisory on immigration requirements and compliance for work visas and legalization for inbound cases into China.
Provide support on China to the regional Immigration manager and other senior practice leaders including analysis and presentation on changes to manpower, immigration policies and legislation and its impact to businesses and corporate clients.
Ensure high quality delivery of immigration service and compliance with client’s specific Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreement including attendance at regular client review meetings
Ensure strategic retention of existing corporate clients and participate in local business development where Immigration expertise is required
Manage day to day immigration casework including the submission of applications and on site work for clients. Manage all VIP cases
Direct line manager to four in house Immigration consultants and manage daily operational and caseload management for each team member
As team leader provide the training, coaching and supporting the on-going development needs of each team member working closely with the Regional Immigration Manager
Manage implementation processes for new clients
Drafting of Immigration bulletins on regulatory changes in China including liaison with the programme management team to have the bulletins published on the Crown Website, Social Media for the delivery to corporate clients locally
Oversee Immigration related invoicing ensuring that it is completed within agreed internal KPIs.
Vendor management – Coordinate local immigration vendor agreements with Crown management and global alliance teams to ensure proper documentation is in place for all immigration vendors
To act as the CWM China visa and immigration subject matter expert. Collaborate with Crown team members including account managers, business development teams and operational leads to work with client HR and key contacts on their China immigration challenges.
Raise any potential compliance issues to Crown management and minimize risks to Crown and the client
Proactively seek critical information at the early stage of the visa process that may cause delay. Foresee issues and advise corporate clients and transferees with possible solutions. Keep all concerning parties properly informed and set the right expectations.

Qualifications
Secondary education certificate, or equivalent (preferred)
5 – 7 years industry or equivalent customer services experience
