Responsibility:
The Project Engineer leads and tracks vehicle build issues. Monitors build Issues including gaining a complete understanding of issues and facilitation of communication between manufacturing and design engineering, ensuring the proper design action is taken to resolve the issue.
?Maintains and updates Build Open Issues List for Management Reviews
?Work with Incoming Quality and Design Engineering for part sign off prior to build events
?Manages data requests from engineers and receive data from suppliers and partners
?Shares responsibilities for running change implementation
?Shares responsibilities for parts approval

Minimum Requirements
?BS in Engineering from an accredited institution and the ability to demonstrate competence
?Recent Automotive industry experience a must (minimum 2- 3 years)
?2 - 3 years recent working experience in one or more of the following areas:
-Engineering
-Manufacturing/Quality
?IT Skills - Microsoft Office Applications, Analytical evaluations
?Be able to effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors
?Must be able to resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
?Must have an understanding on how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
?Ensure robust launch issue resolution (root cause analysis or crisis response) moving the team forward to resolve issues affecting launch plans and execution
?Track multiple issues/resolution/implementation plans understanding build requirements and working with engineering, supply chain & manufacturing to balance the needs of all customers and prioritize work plan.
?Ability to facilitate issue resolution cross-culturally in a production environment ensuring proper root cause analysis is followed and corrective action is implemented
?Ability to coordinate and ensure that teams (including engineering, manufacturing, purchasing and quality) are cohesively working towards problem resolution to result in on-time delivery of corrective action implementatio
?Skilled in problem-solving

?Experience with joint-ventures and multi-national operations
?Chinese and English fluency
?Familiar with production, supplier quality, quality processes and quality systems, vehicle launch
