What are my responsibilities®

1. Early Procurement Involvement

Be actively involved in the product development / manufacturing process as well as undertaking and pushing forward cost reduction measures (design to cost, target costing, standardization, CVE, key data, etc.) to achieve the target costs for materials and reduce the overall material costs by fulfilling the necessary functions. Closely align with R&D and strategic Procurement (GCMs, Strategy Buyers, CVEs);

2. Early Supplier Integration

Include suppliers and conduct cost-benefit analysis workshops, innovation workshops and concept competitions with key suppliers in order to concentrate on the key functions of the components/projects;

3. Alignment about Given Cross-functional Procurement Strategy

Introduce and follow up given cross-functional Procurement strategies (SMS & component strategy) to ensure the linkage of category strategies and technological market trends;

4. Strategy Alignment

Support activities planned by the lines of business in order to harmonize and implement the technological line-of-business strategies with procurement strategies. Ensure source available for required technology features;

5. Source Decision

Prepare sourcing decisions with interface partners, get the Sourcing Committee decides on the most efficient supplier/manufacturer for the required components;

6. Supplier Management: Technology

Assess and develop suppliers from the technological standpoint (if necessary, jointly with interface partners) in order to concentrate on the best suppliers;

7. Risk Management

Identify component risk and supplier risk, ensure risk has been reported and measures set in the Risk Management plan to remove and control the risk;

8. Project Sample Availability

Ensure component/sample availability is matching with project timetable based on correct buying and procurement processes /Ensurance of Interanet and SAP is ready for next build;

9. Communication and Procurment Internal Management for project

As procurement window in project, Participate in workgroups and work in projects in order to stay informed and keep others (SB/GCM/CVE) informed, and manage procurement internally and output to project according to project time schedule

What do I need to qualify for this job®

1. More than 5 years experience in various procurement functions especially in product business, cross-functional experience gained in other functional areas or comparable experience is preferred, global sourcing or supply chain operations could be a value plus.

2. Experiences in Project Management of R&D and New Product Introduction which is intensively associated with Procurement Engineering.

3. 2-3 years experience abroad or international company is prefered, and the capability to negotiate and to operate in different cultures

Other skills:

1. Sourcing related knowledge with mechanical and electronic parts

2. Knowledge of procurement methods and procedures is essential to ensure compliance with the company’s procedure;

3. Experience in driving design to cost and knowledge of cost down related methodology;

4. Grows practical knowledge in technology field / business method, conduct Market Analysis

5. Capability to negotiate and to operate in different cultures.

6. Strategic & Systematic thinking and problem solving skills;

7. Good interpersonal and Communication Skills;

8. Demonstration ability to maintain effective working relations as a team member and procurement internal team leader;

9. Good oral and writing in English;

10. Open, Integrity,Responsible, quick response and Teamwork;
