MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)
Relationship Development:
1.Develop regular interactions with C/D accounts, Increase competitive advantage and drive customer satisfaction by building trust and developing partnership relationships.
2.Add value in every phone call by working together with customers and internal teams to develop beneficial solutions for their business.
Business Development:
1. Drive new and existing opportunities by managing customer accounts appropriately to maximize number of valuable phone/email or digital marketing interactions.
2. Make outbound calls to create opportunities for selling the VWR portfolio of products. Understand customer profile, be able to identify trends and opportunities that will generate sales.
Utilize VWR Resources:
Use local and global cross-functional contacts. Utilize VWR SAP, CRM database to manage customer information that will increase effectiveness and aid sales.
Planning/Forecasting:
weekly sales forecast is required and achieve objectives and Key Performance Indicators across accounts, using pre-call planning for increased effectiveness.
Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)
1. BA/BSc or equivalent in a Science or Business discipline
2. 2+ years of experience in a complex sales environment where there is a solution based selling approach
3. A proven track record of verifiable sales success driving growth with a consultative, strategic selling approach
4. Business-to-business sales experience, preference may be given to those with distribution experience and a scientific background and/or having work in a laboratory or research environment.
