1. Point Person for Country Merchandising Strategy
a. Key communicator of the assigned categories’ seasonal merchandising strategy to local Retail teams as presented by the HKMM & NYAPM teams
b. Responsible for the Seasonal Product training to the local Retail teams
- Conduct product training when season kick off (SKOB) to retail staff to ensure they possess good knowledge
- Provide the specific training (Trendy Information, Key item focus, rigging skill, China delivery timetable) to product specialist and tracking their performance
- Support and work with training team regarding to product knowledge and in-store activity to enhance training throughout the season
- Translate the relevant materials on product knowledge
c. Supporting HKMM teams on any new/updated brand strategies and creating a plan applicable to the local market
d. Join weekly/bi weekly conference calls with HKMM teams/NYAPM teams to touch base with all merchandising related issues.
2. Sales Driver and Ownership
a. Run varies sales reports and analyze data weekly to identify current sales trend, inventory situation, and opportunities, recommending action plan weekly on ground in order to drive sales:
- Sales/EOH by season, concept, class, style, stores
- Co-ordinate with Creative presentation team to maximize the sales opportunities
- Recommend Markdowns/Promotions
- Call out any Initial Product delivery issues and/or Propose Replenishment
- Co-ordinate Bi- Weekly local products transfer/consolidation
- Proposing Incentive Plans
- Event planning and coordination merchandising related
b. Support local retail team on merchandising related such as defective products, system retail price error, store product request etc.
3. Local Market Expert
a. Competitor analysis, pricing research, product research, consumer research
b. Support HKMM/NYAPM teams in their scorecard development by organizing and collecting regional feedback from store managers/local retail team on the Chinese market trends, successes/opportunities and the end consumer to influence and improve the future collections for the country
c. Support any Marketing/PR tie ups, events, exclusive opportunities merchandising related.
