Responsibilities:

Principal Tasks Packaging Development
? Evaluation and creation of technical specifications (profile with indication of dimensions, material number, film numbers and edge codes) for Printed Packaging Material items. This includes:
1. Verification of technical feasibility of Artwork Specifications related to Printing House manufacturing
2. Verification of technical feasibility of Artwork Specifications related to Novartis production equipment usability
3. Reliable design of packaging materials that improves efficiency and productivity.
4. Carry out artwork changes induced by changes of registration licenses and/or safety updates without interruption of product supply.
? Creation & implementation of artwork of Printed Packaging Material according to the design guideline of Novartis, the Novartis Pharma Artwork File Specifications, the technical specifica-tions and the text / manuscript submitted/approved by DRA.
? Archiving of approved artwork of Printed Packaging Materials electronically and in hard copy.
? Maintenance of films and standard specimens
? Managing artwork introductions and changes. This includes:
1. Alignment activities with global Artwork Operation groups and regional & local DRA
2. Change Request Management in AQWA database
3. Alignment with local SCM for procurement planning linked to the production plan
? Innovative solutions to resolve problems in packaging.
? Innovative and cost effective solutions in protecting our product against counterfeits.

Others
? Perform any other task as may be directed by the superior and contribute to project related activ-ities as indicated.
? Deputize the Section Head in responsibilities of Artwork Operations and Packaging Development in the absence of Head of DRA Liaison and Packaging Development.

Requirements:
? Bachelor degree and above in Packaging Engineering and related subjects.
? Fluent in spoken, written, listening and reading English and Chinese
? 5 years experience in the text design and Packaging Engineering in Pharmaceutical or Food industry, JV experience has priority
? Solid knowledge of general pharmaceutical processes and GMP requirements
? Good computer skills in using software like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop and CAD.
? Good sense of color, typeface and visual presentation.
? Persistent, organized, systematic and efficient in his/her work
? Project Management skills for Artwork implementation.
? Good balance of creativity, precision, accuracy and paying attention to details
? Self-motivated, result-driven, exllence in communication & interpersonal skill
