ABOUT YOUR ROLE
The Product Line Team (PLT) Leader is a highly critical leadership role that is directly accountable for driving Profitable Growth for the Materials Group business. With the goals of optimizing financial outcomes, meeting and exceeding the needs of the customers, and gaining market share, the role will direct our product roadmap and portfolio management. It will also drive execution of key product strategies, innovation, sales enablement and responsiveness to the competitive environment through close collaboration with other marketing teams and a broad range of functions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
Accountability for growth and profitability of the respective Product Line
Achievement of profitable growth by leading the cross functional PLT to set priorities, optimizing work processes and enabling collaboration to achieve common and coordinated outcomes.
Developing and executing PLT Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures (OGSM) annually
Driving alignment across organizational matrix and functions
Activating our value proposition through product positioning and pricing - the goal is to build and implement appropriate business plans/multi-generation product plans to identify trends, opportunities for competitive advantage and new ideas for products, processes and services.
Accountability for cost out activities, innovation initiatives (in cooperation with R&D), environmental and sustainability efforts that create competitive advantage, create demand and meet customers’ needs.
Translating market trends and customer needs into actionable goals
Developing and executing tactics to monitor and address segment evolution and the competitive environment
Close collaboration with Product marketing and Strategic marketing group to leverage across the broader Marketing organization
Proactively providing Sales support - developing crisp value propositions and ensuring that appropriate training and market collateral is provided to enable Sales activation
Leading and developing Product Managers, to create an environment for high performance and engagement within the team
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
Significant business leadership experience, ideally with the ability to marry technology/technical expertise to commercial strategy.
P&L management and Sales & Marketing experience is a strong plus, coupled with knowledge of key product categories within the labeling and packaging industry.
Demonstrated success in leading in a matrix and ability to drive results and outcomes by working across cross functional teams through influence
Balancing longer terms strategies and short term business and financial priorities
Able to champion regional and product line opportunities and priorities at the Global stage.
Ability to champion new business ventures.
Strong organizational skills, including project management discipline. Demonstrated success in cross-regional projects or initiatives highly appreciated.
Excellent people leadership skills, defined by the ability to rally and empower through influence and inspiration, demonstrated ability to attract and develop strong talent, and a high level of ownership for the engagement and capability of the team
Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills
