Steel Work Design Engineer Assistant

Job Description:

? The candidate will reinforce the steel work and surveillance team in Shenzhen that is temporary facing major challenges in the existing design.

? The candidate will:
o Prepare layout of new steel structures together with related disciplines and civil layout team
o Perform basic design (and partially also detail design) related to new or significantly modified steel structures.
o Prepare description sheets (DTS proposals) and design documents to be launched to the detailed designer.
o Discuss and answer all design related questions (QUANs).
o (optinal) Analyze steel work related design documents and general design procedures
o (optinal) Be involved in o ngoing detail design at the detail designer
o (optinal) Provide technical assistance to the detail designer.

? The candidate will also support the surveillance team in daily work processes.

? The candidate will report to the AREVA Steel Work Design Engineer.


Knowledge/Experience:
? Civil Engineering Master Degree or Equivalent.
? Experience in steel work design and checking (minimum 2 years).
? Very good knowledge in Eurocodes (mainly EN1993).
? Worked in a multicultural environment (French, English and Chinese).

Technical Skills:
? Fluent English, French or German is a big plus.
? Civil work design background.
? Basic knowledge in PDMS
? Good knowledge in Navisworks
? Very good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel).

Job Location / Mobility:
? Based in Taishan Site, China.
