TASKS

• Managing and supporting local operational purchasing tasks


• Supporting the Material Group Manager in development and implementing strategies on regional and local basis


• Responsible for local tendering and support international tender processes


• Local responsibility for the supplier pyramid (supplier matrix)


• Local target setting/breakdown and ensuring the achievement


• Supporting the Material Group Manager in KPI development and achievement, steering regional and local business (e.g. budget, spent reporting, savings, DPO) aligned with local functional departments


• Manage second level escalations


• Implementing and applying the commodity specific tools and process details (e.g. nomination matrix, price comparison sheet, negotiation mandate sheet, PO order type, material groups)


• Knowledge transfer within country organization


• Developing market knowledge (research, visiting fairs, close link with functional departments, demonstrations by suppliers, etc.)


• Responsible for the implementation of global contract requirements (with local adaptations)


• Implementation of global agreements (e.g. sorting companies)


• Guidance and development for the Local Buyers capabilities


• Functional leading of the Local Buyers and the substructure


• Part of the appraisal process for the Local Buyers


• Part of the hiring/promoting process for the Local Buyer level


• Reporting to the Material Group Manager level

SKILLS

• Bachelor degree


• At least 3 years of experience in the indirect material purchasing business


• Market knowledge (within China) is essential, especially in indirect material purchasing


• High motivation and ability to cooperate with an international team, entrepreneurial and analytical working - Team working spirit


• Analytical thinking and strategy oriented


• Continuous improvement oriented


• Fluent English, writing, reading and speaking


• Willingness and ability to travel across China
