JOB DESCRIPTION

The Associate Director reports directly to the Managing Director of the Shanghai office, and is responsible for strategically guiding accounts, consulting key clients and aggressively growing the business. The successful candidate will be a communications leader with international experience at either multi-national corporations, business organizations or international consultancies. She/he should have a proven track record in business development, client services, and team leadership, and an entrepreneurial attitude.

Client Services

？ Motivates clients to expand projects by demonstrating positive outcomes for them

Business Development
？ Contributes to strategy development and proposing innovative solutions for new business
？ Actively seeks opportunities for marketing APCO through thought leadership, networking, etc.
？ Identified as internal and external expert on specific industry or sector and networks externally

Leadership & Team Management
？ Manages corporate communications team, and coaches team to reach their fullest potential
？ Drives initiatives that recognize and reward people’s efforts/achievements
？ Encourages and values individual differences, diverse ideas and experiences
？ Promotes a healthy work environment based on respect and support of colleagues

QUALIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS

？ Bachelor’s degree or above from an accredited college or university preferably in Public Administration, Journalism, Public Relations, Business Administration or related fields;
？ 5-8 years relevant working experience at a global consulting firm, corporation, or media role; project management experience with healthcare clients, digital strategy development and/or digital advertising experience is preferred.
？ Strong project, budget, business development and client management skills;
？ Exceptional Chinese and English speaking and writing skills
？ Local and international travel required
