Job Purpose
? To develop and manage RICS accounts in China.
? Be responsible for strategy development and execution to build and maintain RICS’ relationships with major employers within both existing and new market segments.
? To ensure that RICS’ offerings remain relevant to the market place and that all opportunities to grow the profession and increase the take up of RICS’ products and services are maximized.
? To focus on the growth of RICS’ Qualification, Training and Conference offerings whilst working closely with the other teams to maximize sales opportunities across the whole China market for all other product groups.
? Be responsible for an agreed group of RICS’ most strategic and valuable accounts the role holder will develop and execute account management strategies in collaboration with RICS colleagues to proactively drive sales.
? Be responsible for developing and modelling strategy and best practice levels of quality in Territory, Call, Opportunity and Account Management and usage of CRM.
? To develop significant credibility with internal stakeholders and across RICS most strategic clients and target markets.
? To have around 75% of the time visiting clients and generating business and 25% on office based administration.

Key Responsibilities
? Hit and exceed individual targets - monthly, quarterly and annually.
? To develop the performance, reputation and credibility of the business development team internally and across RICS’ strategic clients and target markets
? To meet and exceed the agreed sales targets and contribution to RICS China annual business plan
? To impact on RICS’ overall global sales and account management capabilities and performance
? To implement and execute procedures to support effective territory, call, account and sales pipeline management and strategies, monitoring and reporting on activity and progress using CRM at all times.
? To develop multiple personal relationships with contacts in allocated firms and thus being identified as the first point of contact within RICS for “owned” accounts.
? To generate positive client feedback from the above activities, maintaining appropriate customer service response rates e.g. ideally 48-hour maximum turnaround, or manage client expectations appropriately if not possible in this timescale
? To develop and execute sales strategies for existing and new products
? To articulate and communicate emerging client needs to assist in appropriate new product/service development
? To attend appropriate RICS, client and industry events to build individual profile in RICS’ target markets
? To identify and prospect appropriate new firms as appropriate to meet targets
? To act as a first point of contact for RICS’ staff and relevant members for information and activity on their allocated accounts
? Other jobs and tasks as line manager assigned.

Experience Required
? Good experience of face-to-face B2B business development, account management and consultative sales experience preferably in a qualification, membership, professional body and/or executive education environment
? Experience of strategic account planning, approaches and processes
? Methodical and consistent approach to recording, structuring, analyzing and summarizing information and market intelligence – able to distil market information routinely into strategic insights for RICS
? Credible presentation and communication skills, sufficient to negotiate confidently with senior C-level executives
? Able to communicate effectively in writing, orally and with strong presentational skills
? Computer literate and comfortable with new technology, especially online
? Organizational skills including appointment setting and record keeping
? Confident self-starter and enthusiastic
? Numerate
? Able to influence people throughout any organization and at all levels
? Able to form string individual and corporate relationships
? Experience of developing personal credibility in the marketplace
? Team orientated and with excellent interpersonal and team-working skills
? Methodical and consistent approach to recording, structuring, analysing, and summarizing information and market intelligence – ability to distil market information into strategic insights for RICS
? Results oriented and highly commercially minded
? Confident and motivated self-starter with flexible outlook
? Computer literate and comfortable with new technology, especially online

? Displays up to date knowledge of all RICS’ Qualifications, product and service offerings
