Job Summary
The role of the Training Engineer is to deliver MathWorks product and application specific training to customers in China. Primary areas of instruction include numerical analysis, modeling and simulation, and production code generation with respect to control system design.
Responsibilities
The Training Engineer is primarily responsible for delivering product-training courses to users of MathWorks products. Specific activities include researching industry and application specific concepts to assist in the development and maintenance of course content, delivering courses on multiple products, customizing courses to adapt to customer’s demand, providing appropriate feedback to our development and sales organizations, and identifying and implementing course improvements based on student evaluations.
Travel is expected to average two weeks per month.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required.
Additional Qualifications
MS or PhD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required
Experience of control system design applications is a plus
Demonstrated ability to perform computational analysis, modeling and simulation tasks
Passion for Training
Knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink or similar products as applied to engineering problems
Working knowledge of other programming languages (C, C++) is a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Formal presentation or training delivery skill
Willingness to travel 2 weeks per month
