As an Application Engineer-Electrical, you will be part of the Robotics and Motion (RM) Division and Drives and Control Business Unit (BU), based in Beijing. Robotics and Motion (RM) division offers a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators and robots. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for electrical design for non-standard project and technical support for ABB drives’ products. Takes personal responsibility to ensure tasks assigned by supervisor can be consistently completed on time with high quality.

Your Tasks as an Application Engineer-Electrical will include the following:

? Integrity:
1. Maintains and promotes high ethical and professional standards at all times.

4. Demonstrates an understanding and works towards a safe working culture.

? Business target:
1. Be responsible for electrical design for non-standard project and technical support for ABB drives’ products.
2. Takes personal responsibility to ensure tasks assigned by supervisor can be consistently completed on time with high quality.
3. Finish given design tasks with good quality and on time delivery. “Good quality” means design mistakes rate of every project recorded by production line should be under “10%” on time delivery” means engineer should finish all design of projects according to the schedule confirmed in hand-over meeting with project management engineers. (Mistakes rate: total mistakes recorded/units of project).
4. Understand the basic principles of electrical design to design products which can fit the non-standard requirement from customers.
5. In order to design products which can fit the non-standard requirement from customer, engineer should be familiar with design specifications like IEC standard, UL standard, CSA standard etc.
6. In order to work efficiently, engineer should be familiar with “Elmaster”&CAD soft, Eplan, SAP system, office etc.

? Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Electrical.
? Be familiar with “Elmaster”&CAD soft, Eplan, SAP system, office etc.
? Be familiar with design specifications like IEC standard, UL standard, CSA standard etc.
? Be active and enthusiastic.
? Fluent English with good communication skills.
