BASIC FUNCTIONS
Within delegated responsibility and authority of the Manager – Design Consulting, maintain a close relationship with key architectural /design firms and hotel operate company and coordinate our sales efforts in assigned area. Partner with these global firms to introduce Kohler brand, get it specified, and grow our business in assigned area.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Establish and maintain regular contact with key global / local architectural and design firms and hotel operate company to introduce new products, assist in selecting product, writing proposals within assigned area

Be the liaison between our global architect/designer customers and our own sales force regionally

Be an expert in international design trends and specification

Build trust and rapport with international and local clients to create economic partnership

Displace competitors’ product and make Kohler brands the primary choice of these global design firms

Research key firms and secure meetings with each office to analyze their business

Build personal relationships and build trust with principals and key designers

Recommend how to support the clients’ needs while increasing our sales potential

Establish relationships within Kohler Co.’s international divisions and work together to ensure our clients get world class service and support

Understand Kohler China strategy and contribute to our growth


RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS

Report to the Manager – Design Consulting directly, and dotted line report to Regional Sales Director – East China.

Frequent contact with sales management and individual sales reps whose territories the jobs are located

Work closely with key clients, architects/designers


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree or above in architectural or design, oversea education background is preferred

At least 6 years working experience in architectural and design firms

Sales or marketing working experience is preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, conversant in working cross-culturally

Self driven, self disciplined, and goal-oriented

Possess/acquire excellent product knowledge and be able to speak in the language of international caliber designers

Good English skills, fluently in oral English.

Willing to travel
