Job Description
?· The Global Commodity Manager is tasked to provide the business sourcing expertise market knowledge and product intelligence Development of both sourcing and suppliers / design development vendors strategy with the business Technical Management.
· He / She is the focal person for all commercial discussions and is fully responsible to ensure that all commercial relationships are fully optimized towards managing and mitigating the risk to the company.
· He / She is responsible to drive the sourcing activities utilizing the WW sourcing network and suppliers to support the WW business Units towards achieving its business and development plans and goals.
· GCM is expected to proactively lead the sourcing effort to develop / define new business products / technologies to the business working in conjunction with the Product Development team in program development and research.
Candidate Profile
?· 4 years University Degree / Master in an Engineering competency.
· 10 years’ experience in Purchasing, Sourcing or business related activities with emphasis on negotiations and contract management.
· Experience of electrical commodities to include passives, magnetics, switches, sensors etc.
· Able to perform in a highly competitive and demanding environment.
· Must be a self-starter, with abilities to think outside the box.
· Strong interpersonal & excellent communication skills with proven ability to excel in a multi-cultural environment.
· Effective & professional in Sourcing field, with strong expertise in:-
Ø Creation of source competitions
Ø Timely cost benchmarking (cross bid / frequent re-nego)
Ø Supplier base reduction / optimization
Ø Strength in negotiation skills and able to complete full analysis
Team oreinted : Acts as a team player in multi-site teams and assists to bring teams together whenever possible
Strong communications skills (open, timely, on all levels) - Oral and written - Practices attentive and active listening with internal/external stakeholders allowing all parties to contribute as needed
Fluent in english is mandatory
Ability for regular travels as well as strong work capability are required
