Summery:
- The Electronic Design Engineer as part of a product development team is generating design documents to given system specifications and module specifications for optical instruments in the fields of microscopy and medical devices.

Main responsibilities:
- Work effectively as a dedicated team member in a joint development team including overseas engineers to develop new products for emerging market and European entry level market
- Generate electrical design documents for medical products
- Conduct design verifications and design reviews. This includes also the checking of drawings for conformity with drawing standards, for technical consistency and for safety
- Proficient in the design of circuit plans, PC-boards, etc. for LED-illumination including cooling, motor controls, etc. in medical products. Knowledge of CCD- and/or CMOS-camera readout electronics is highly desirable
- Providing necessary technical documents and information for the development process to the Quality Assurance responsible in a development project. Definition of critical dimensions and support to create design verification test plans and First Article Inspection Plans
- The scope of design jobs is including designs for products as well as for test equipment, prototypes and assembly- and adjustment equipment for these products
- Support of prototype assembly and verification testing
- Consulting function during the design transfer and production ramp-up phase of the development project
- Generate module- and system validation plans together with project partners in development projects. Perform endurance tests, definition of life cycles and realize them in products. Definition of adequate qualification procedures together with application specialists
- Design-maintenance of electromechanical, optronical, electronical and electrical modules and components of future systems
- Other duties, as assigned


Job Requirements

- A Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or related field with a minimum of 4-5 years working experience in Electronic Design. An advanced degree, such as a Master is advantageous and can substitute for some years of experience
- Experience as an electrical design engineer of complex systems
- Familiar with design in product development projects and design control processes. Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IEC 60601 is a plus
- Solid experience with Analogue and Digital Electronics
- Solid know-how in EMC -compatible solutions and EMC testing (IEC 60601-1-2)
- Experience with fast digital transmission networks, bus systems and according testing methods would be advantageous
- Experience in several of the following areas: LED-illumination, Micro-processor & Micro-controller system design, laser driver electronics, stepper motor control circuits and microstepping, power supplies & DC/DC converter integration, camera (area & line) electronics (CCD, CMOS), cable design for hig frequency signals, designing for safety compliance (IEC 60601-1), knowledge of PCB manufacturing
- Experience with FPGA programming/synthesis/simulation tools, analog simulation tools, schematic software (Orcad, DxDesigner or similar)
- Some experience in using CAD systems (i.e. PRO-E), SAP and MS-Office
- Familiar with production equipments and testing instruments (digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers). Experience in Quality Control would be a plus
- Creativity, one's own initiative, analytical skills and judgment
- Good command of English, both oral & written
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
-Some travel within China and abroad might be required. Occasional overtime work might be necessary
