Trade Compliance Assocaite Manager will lead the team, translating corporate objectives into Life Scicence division initiatives, and work closely with business partners to ensure that their operations and processes comply with the relevant legal regulations.
The candidate should be a strong potential successor to take over the entire trade compliance initiatives for Life Science division.
Key Objectives of the Position:
? Define the scope of division compliance requirements in the areas of import& export control and domestic trade compliance.
? Manage and educate businesses on evolving requirements in a rapidly changing legal landscape.
? Identify compliance process gaps, understand criticality of gap and build a roadmap for improving compliance controls; manage compliance project resources in the design of process change to implement business controls.
? Identify opportunities for process efficiency and effectiveness in compliance through automation or process improvement; put in place compliance-related metrics and a program for continuous improvement.
? Drive implementation of policies and instructions through monitoring, self-assessments and periodic audits.
? Ensure the efficiency of daily Customs affairs agreed with KPIs and business requirement
? Local Customs compliance as it relates to new operation setup, business opportunities and product launches.
Responsibilities:
? Develop and implement trade compliance program(s) within the Life Science division based on business risks and process gaps and develop a process for evaluating and prioritizing risks.
？ Conducts research, determine, and assign accurate tariff classification and declaration data. Retain key documentation to support these tasks & maintains / manage this task through multiple software platforms: SAP / ERP, Integration Point, and Customs broker.
？ Develop key metrics for the team and drive long-term automation of metrics; put in place procedures for monitoring and reviewing metrics and reaction plans
？ Cooperate with businsess, RA, operation teams, customs brokers and government agencies to continuously simplify the process and prevent risk proactively
？ Devises solutions for customs affairs;
？ Thinks long-term and establishes scalable/modular processes for easy adaptation to business scope changes
Basic Qualifications
1. Master degree of application chemical and or bio chemical
2. 10 years above working experience in trade compliance and or import & export function, 5 years’ experience in manager role
3. Strategic think, systematic think, strong plan and execution capability
4. Strong Analytical ability and problem solving skills
5. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
