Role Description - Vendor Manager (Translation/ Linguistic Services)
The ideal candidate is someone with rich vendor management/ recruitment experience and rich translation resources on hand who will be responsible for growing and coaching our translation talent pool. Excellent analytical skill is also required for fine-tuning the recruitment process.
Responsibilities:
Grow, manage, and coach our translation talent pool
Evaluate potential translators/vendors using developed and agreed criteria to support alignment and understanding of the expectations and requirements of engagement
Monitor and report on the performance of selected translators/vendors to ensure delivery in line with contractual obligations and performance metrics
Manage outward communication to translators/vendors to facilitate understanding and awareness of organizational strategic direction, changes and challenges
Manage the interaction between translators/vendors and internal team members including Sales and Project Managers to provide adequate visibility of interdependent initiatives
Required Experience/Skills:
- 5+ years of Vendor/ HR management experience; translation background would be a plus
- Rich translation resources (Translation/ Linguistic Services) on hand is preferred
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with fluency in English
- Analytical, metrics-oriented and results-driven
- Relentless curiosity for learning Recruitment/Management Best-Practices
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, and able to work well individually and within a team atmosphere
