Main Responsibilities (Give 6 to 8 main areas of work. State what is to be done –to what - the end result e.g. Develop, agree and implement detailed sales plans to increase market share in Europe):

1. Work with the Divisional finance team to deliver high quality monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to Atlas Group standards.

2. Develop monthly reporting and analysis to support decision making by business partners in China and Business Units globally.

3. Maintain and develop a well-organised, highly motivated and skilled team of accountants and finance staff with a service-led culture, managed effectively through the use of productivity measures with an emphasis on continuous process improvemen

4. Meet and exceed agreed service levels as measured by KPI’s and SLA/OLA’s

5. Manage the annual audit processes for 4 subsidiary companies

6. Work closely with the China Finance Controller, Divisional Finance, Tax and Treasury, Legal, Internal Audit and the business to make sure that Internal Finance control standards are met and exceeded.

7. Represent Edwards’ China in discussions with Chinese regulatory agencies

8. Work with the global FSC team to deliver best in class Financial Services to the China business.

9. Work with the Chinese management team to deliver and maintain Internal Control for the Chinese business

Education level:
University graduate, Qualified Accountant (Ideally trained with one of big 4 Audit Firms)
Relevant previous experience:
6+ years’ experience in finance reporting and control, ideally 5 years in an FSC environment
Language skills:Chinese and English- both oral and written to a professional level.
Other skills and knowledge:
? External and internal reporting experience covering both technical reporting and commentary.
? Technically proficient and able to communicate accounting complexities to business and finance users.
? Capable of making a major contribution to the development of the Edwards China business.
? Capable of infuencing and changing business behavior with respect to internal control and operations.

Scope of the job (give details of budgets managed by the job holder; revenue or other targets or any other measures relevant to this role)

Managing 6 staffs.
Responsible for accounting for 3 entities in China in 3 cities.

Atlas Copco unit reporting, reporting analysis and transaction processing for Edwards China coupled with staff management and development (both professional and clerical staff) with a strong focus on quality, efficiency and compliance. Excellent communication and analytical skills plus the ability to build personal credibility to influence the business. Must be able to analyse effectively, take ownership of projects and initiate change.
