Job Location: Shenzhen, China Reporting to: Director of Engineering
Travel: 15% of time
Job Expectation and Scope
The Hardware Architect reports to Director of Engineering, and manages teams of Electronics Engineering Sustaining and Hardware Platform Innovation.
In this role, the Hardware Architect will work closely with multiple teams and groups including Product Architect, Project Management, Sourcing, Product Marketing and Quality Assurance, etc.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead technical roadmap development for company products;
2. Drive Electronic Design to meet product design schedule and cost requirement;
3. Modularize existing products electronics design;
4. Conduct design review for electronics engineering part;
5. Manage Product Lifetime Management (PLM) system maintenance for electronics engineering part;
6. Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and qualify products to meet specification, reliability and regulatory;
7. Establish and maintain platforms and design guideline for key components approval (solar panel, battery, cable, etc.);
8. Take ownership to optimize existing design process and procedures.
Successful Candidate Profile
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics Engineering or relevant major;
2. 10+ years leading power management development experiences (DC/DC converter, Inverter, power management, etc.);
3. Strong knowledge of hardware system architectures, including but not limited to power supply system, battery, Solar panel;
4. Highly developed hardware design skills;
5. 5+ years managing experiences with direct subordinates, able to hire, coach and develop EE teams;
6. Fluent in English communication, a creative and curiosity way of working leading to continuous improvements, open minded and willing to accept new challenges.
