Compliance Manager - Business Partner Due Diligence Asia

The mission of the Regional Integrity Officer (RIO) is to guide and manage the development, implementation and monitoring of a holistic regional compliance program for the Asia-Pacific Region in line with the corporate compliance policies and programs of the RRPS group and the direction given by the Chief Integrity & Compliance Officer (CICO).


Job Functions (Essential)

1. Manage and supervise compliance processes for business partners related to the selection, approval and appointment of business partners, the partners management structure changes, review and monitor their sales and service business in the region Asia
2. Consult and advise MTU sales, service, business development, network management and contract management in the business partner approval and review process
3. Perform compliance audits / site-visits in the region Asia at business partner’s premises, covering all necessary compliance and integrity topics as a risk assessment measure within the appointment process and in order to consult & audit business partners in terms of their compliance program
4. Perform risk based due diligence for all sales and service partners in the region Asia
5. Identify, evaluate and report potential business risks identified during the due diligence process related to the appointment / termination of sales and service partners in the region Asia
6. Per corporate guidelines, approve partner, deny approval when process requirements are not fulfilled and/or partner is not suitable from a risk or compliance standpoint, propose veto approvals, set deadlines as well as involve external support (law firms, consultants) for further comprehensive compliance checks
7. Define risk mitigating measures in cooperation with the Regional Integrity Officer, the central compliance team at Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Germany and the Compliance Operations team at Rolls-Royce plc.
8. Prepare and propose recommendation papers and recommendations to the Rolls-Royce Power Systems / MTU management and the Rolls-Royce plc Advisor panel
9. Advise contract management on compliance relevant clauses in business partner contracts in the region Asia
10. Implement and/or monitor the fulfillment of business partner specific conditions as defined by the Rolls-Royce Adviser panel and the Rolls-Royce Power Systems Compliance management.
11. Contribution to further develop and provide global and company-wide binding compliance relevant guidelines / policies for the selection, approval, appointment, management, review and monitoring of business partners.
12. Serve, in conjunction with the Sr. Manager Business Partner Due Diligence, as a primary contact for business partner related compliance matters in the region Asia and provide guidance and counsel
13. Ensure audit secure documentation of compliance relevant processes and decisions
14. Ensure compliance with Data Protection Act together with Data Protection Officer
15. Provide policy and process relevant trainings to internal and external stakeholders in the region Asia
16. Promote compliance culture in your own area of responsibility
17. Perform special project and provide global support as required

Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

Required:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business or Law and 5 years of experience in sales and/or after sales and/or network/distribution management, compliance in the heavy duty diesel engine industry; or 8 years of experience in sales and/or after sales, compliance or network/distribution management in the heavy duty diesel engine industry.
2. Excellent knowledge of business ethics, integrity codes, and the Corporate Guidelines for Business Partners
3. Excellent level of interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with others and liaise between internal and external departments and/or stakeholders
4. Excellent organizational, planning and follow-up skills and the ability to meet critical deadlines quickly and reliably
5. Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability and creative problem solving skills when issues are complex
6. Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills
7. Strong negotiation and persuasive communication skills
8. Strong project management skills with ability to drive multiple projects to completion
9. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
10. Proven ability to handle confidential matters
11. Willingness to travel – domestic and international (25%)
12. Advanced skills with MS Office Suite (in particular Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred:
1. Fluent in English language
2. Fluent in Mandarin language
3. Basic languages skills other Asian languages
