The Application Engineer is primarily a Software Engineer/Developer. In this capacity, Application Engineers act as consultants, project managers and technology experts to our ecosystem development partners e.g. ISV, OEM to create Rack Scale Design RSD conformant products.
Key Duties and responsibilities: Externally, hands on support and consultation to ecosystem partners during all phases of RSD Design In product development cycle incl. product definition, project setup and execution, technical training, and providing technical support on Design Wins. Internally, collecting and passing customers feedback to RSD team for CCBs, and future product features as well as aiding in RSD releases.
Key skills include good knowledge and technical acumen on Server, Rack and Data Center engineering, customer facing communications and management.
BS in Computer Engineering or Science. MS is a plus.
5+ years of experience in Server, Rack and Data Center Engineering.
Additional preferred qualifications:
Ability to translate customers' requirements to Basic of Design BOD, product features & functions Ability to build, train and lead an effective team of stakeholders to get technologies, products and solutions adopted and scaled out.
Standards and industry consortium influence experience, e.g. DMTF, IETF, Openstack
Preferred knowledge of understanding of Intel component and platform technologies, as well as products and development process.
Programming skills in using server web development languages such as Python, Java, PHP and C/C++.
