RESPONSIBILITY
SUMMARY
Overall responsibility for managing Asia outbound ocean freight capacity and space allocation among all FedEx Trade Network contracted ocean freight carriers.
The ultimate objective is to provide FedEx Trade Networks customers with on-time booking of ocean freight.

? Establishment of Capacity and Space Allocation Department in Shanghai.
? Design of capacity management scope, objectives, process in alignment with corporate objectives
? Support of the global ocean carrier strategy.
? Ability to interpret ocean freight service contract boilerplates, rates, terms & conditions, carrier service loops, allocation, customer prioritization etc..
? Understanding of current booking process, including identifying and improving upon observed weaknesses.
? Process Roll-out to Asia origins, wherein origin operations books to the CASA, who in-turn manages space allocation per ocean carriers, in line with customer SOPs.
? Close collaboration with origin stations to ensure capacity management process be executed and complied.
? Ensuring that space is effectively allocated against carrier strategy and customer prioritization.
? Optimizing CASA process, including most efficient communication and handoff between origin freight forwarding departments and CASA department
? Minimizing space issues, especially during peak shipping times
? Procurement authority as part of the global ocean freight product team, and in line with global carrier strategy
? Maintaining strong local and regional ocean carrier management relationships
? Establishing efficient flow of information concerning allocation utilization status
? Awareness of market conditions
? Supporting management for overall ocean product development.

REQUIREMENT:
? Bachelors degree or above
? 10 years or above related experience in the freight forwarding industry
? 5+ years of supervisory experience
? Fluent in Mandarin.
? Solid written & oral English
? Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite
? Able to make strategic and tactical decisions under pressure
? Established Ocean Carrier Relationships
? Strong interpersonal communication skills 举报 分享
