The mission of the Regional Integrity Officer (RIO) is to guide and manage the development, implementation and monitoring of a holistic regional compliance program for the Asia-Pacific Region in line with the corporate compliance policies and programs of the RRPS group and the direction given by the Chief Integrity & Compliance Officer (CICO).
Key Accountibilities:
? Work closely with all business operations to give suitable advice and instruction on compliance-related matters, while remaining independent from those business operations in order to provide objective oversight.
? Launch and conduct initiatives to promote the foundation of the regional integrity culture as integral part of group-wide corporate values.
? Instruct and guide senior management to leverage integrity messages and to maintain a high level of awareness on compliance needs.
? Management of local compliance concerns presented by regional senior management.
? Plan, coordinate, perform and document compliance risk-assessments in defined legal areas at the regional level, according to group-wide compliance risk assessment concepts and tools.
? Develop systematic methods and programs at the regional level for improving compliance in all necessary areas, pursuant to the overall corporate compliance programs and policies.
? Adaptation of corporate compliance directives and rules to specific local legal requirements and cultural particularities, where needed, under the direction of the CICO.
? Conduct continuous review of compliance education and training needs within the regions on a risk-based approach.
? Conduct risk-based classroom-trainings for management and employees within the Region.
? Develop, implement and monitor appropriate tools for the notification of compliance complaints (whistleblowing) at regional level, pursuant to the guidance provided by the CICO.
? Initiate, coordinate and manage internal investigations of compliance complaints at local/regional level on an independent and confidential basis.
? Provide local legal review on compliance issues, with the support of internal and/or external counsel, where needed.
? Support the due diligence process for sales intermediaries and other independent contractors.
? Provide reports on a regular basis on regional compliance topics and report on compliance infringements or potential compliance violations to duly authorized prosecution and/or enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required.
? Inform staff of compliance regulations (RR Global Code of Conduct, relevant corporate guidelines, bylaws and legal provisions) and about the compliance organization of the RRPS Group
Qualifications:
? Adequate Degree in Law or Business Administration and 5 years of working experience in business compliance.
? Managerial experience of at least 3 years in an international context, preferably in a multinational industrial company or an international law firm.
? Good working knowledge of global regulatory compliance risks including fraud, anti-corruption, privacy, anti-trust.
? Leadership skills to provide authoritative guidance to regional business management, to drive corporate integrity and compliance strategies, and to prioritize and mobilize resources across the company.
? Excellent social and communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of management and business units.
? Strong intercultural competencies with a deep understanding of the regional cultures and ethics.
? Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Mandarin
? Capable of working independently and self-driven as well as in a team environment.
? Strong organizational and project management skills and capability of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
? Proven ability to professionally handle confidential matters.
? Ability to travel – regional and international.
? Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite, MS Outlook.
