Job Introduction:
1. To support Business Development Director in developing and delivering Bupa’s growth ambition in China, including undertaking strategy review and/or development initiatives.
2. Working closely with China development team in sourcing, developing, and executing compelling development opportunities, through M&A, greenfield, or partnerships means
3. To develop convincing strategies or business cases with articulated strategic rationale and sound financial models and projections, including capital and solvency implications, for identified strategic opportunities.
4. To drive the development of compelling written presentations and materials to communicate strategy recommendations to key stakeholders.
5. To use evaluation criteria, market insight and industry contacts to examine markets and competitors to highlight possible acquisition or partnership opportunities.
6. To project manage strategic initiatives, with regular stakeholder updates
7. To coordinate and manage external advisers that provide appropriate research, development, or transactional material.


Key experience:
1.Minimum 5-8 years of professional experience, including relevant experience in a strategy and/or corporate development role in a local or regional setting, preferably in the insurance or healthcare industry, or relevant financial services fields is required.
2. Experience in consulting or investment banking is a definite plus
3. Experience in a multinational environment is a plus, preferably with Asia exposure.
4. Expertise and experience in researching development opportunities (start-ups, alliances, joint ventures or acquisitions) is preferred.
5. Project management experience and skills are required.
6. Advance knowledge of MS Office is required.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skill in English and Chinese is required.
8. Excellent interpersonal skills characterized by effective interactions with a diverse range of internal and external constituents, stakeholders and audiences. An ambassador for Bupa and able to deal with contacts up to ministerial level. Active contributor to leadership team.
9. Will be a self starter and able to work independently and interdependently within a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural team environment.
10. Strong ability to translate business needs and issues into viable/accepted solutions.
11. Comfortable in handling multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously.
12. Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
13. Strong financial and analytical skills in order to construct and put forward concise business cases and planning documentation to support strategy.
14. Strong commercial acumen in order to evaluate the priority and strategic value of different market entry/analysis opportunities taking into account time scales, resources, local legislation, competitor reaction, risk and financial returns.
15. Thinks strategically, plans tactically and executes effectively.
