Position: IT PM Monitoring, Configuration and Legacy integration
Division/Department: ITP Region China
Location: Beijing
Main goals and objectives:
? The Monitoring, Configuration and Legacy Integration is designed to support integration or execution of new or existing customer requirements with existing systems and processes. He/she must understand all regional or VW group existing IT systems and provide integration plan for new requirement where any VW existing system needs to be reused or connected. He/she needs to coordinate and maintain configuration management activities related to identification, control, audit and status accounting for software and documentation for systems. He/she needs to coordinate and maintain Monitoring and Event Management for the services related to the Connected Car area include related tools planning, evaluation, implementation, operation and knowledge management
? Identification of performance indicators, developing and implementing of quality assurance strategies for the services related to the Connected Car area
? Responsibility for the management of the NEV and Connected Car IT operation for the purpose of achieving department goals based on local and group defined action items
? Planning, Design, Implementation, Operation and Continuous Improvement of IT services based on company needs, in line with group and international standards (ITIL) in the area of the Connected Car Services
? Establishment of processes and corresponding documentation (process and knowledge management) and reporting
? Manage and coordinate external service providers in the Connected Car area including:
o Technical and functional supervision of contracted parties
o Contract management
o Support hiring process for new service employees
o Monitoring and reporting
? Project planning and execution ensuring cost- /schedule and scope adherence
? Support budget planning processes, control the execution of projects and services within the planned budget in the Connected Car Area
? Technical consultancy for the Connected Car area in all regional companies
? Responsible for assuring high-quality IT service delivery and customer satisfaction in accordance with the defined KPIs and the MBO
? Responsibility for the management of the ITSM processes across the Connected Car area
Your Responsibilities:
? Monitoring and event management of the services related to the Connected Car Service Operation area include related tools planning, evaluation, implementation, operation and knowledge management
? Manage monitoring tools and applications life cycle and deployment of new releases in coordination with the project, transition and operation teams
? Work out the proposal and plan on how existing IT system can be reused; identify Changes, Adaptations, Migrations needed for existing IT systems.
? Analyse and evaluate existing business processes and consolidate business requirements with strong focus on customer orientation and cost aspect; Review and analyze change request and coordinate changes with engineering and quality assurance to ensure compliance with customer requirements
? Work together with IT Project manager and solution architect for the creation and delivery of a disciplined integration strategy, process and execution plan.
? Build up stable and regular communication to identify and realize synergy in the Connected Car area with all involved stakeholders incl. JVs; Take charge of coordination with other business
? units in case of cross-unit responsibilities or dependencies for Connected Car area
? Communication and documentation of the status of all Connected Car IT related systems, Regular interact with Product Owner of existing IT components with regards to Connected Car area.
? Regular interact with local stakeholders/business involved in IT systems related projects and operation within Connected Car area.
? Manage the rollout of any existing IT components and make sure they fit in regional requirement and new customer requirement.
? Ensure IT compliance regarding legal requirements, intellectual property protection, access and data security protection (ITSP) and BMG regulations
? Harmonize JV, VW Group and VGC projects, processes and systems in the Connected Car area
? Responsible for supporting software version control, builds and releases utilizing configuration management
? Coordinate, validate and implement change requests and release updates in cooperation with the project and transition teams and with the suppliers
? Assure continuous operations of NEV and Connected Car AMS and Infrastructure operation including Applications, Operating Systems, Virtualization, Databases, Monitoring and Alerting as well as other related Infrastructure Applications
? Achieve Connected Car IT Service objectives by maintaining current Connected Car IT Services; contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; resolving problems, manage user complaints; determining system improvements
? Plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the Connected Car Service Operation Team and related contracted external people
? Develop, monitor and review annual IT budgets related to Connected Car areas to ensure they comply with the group’s corporate goals, guidelines and objectives
? Cooperate within the process of new releases and deployments implementation
? Ensure appropriate adjustments of Monitoring and event management tools in accordance to the NEV and Connected Car AMS and Infrastructure upgrades, modifications and deployments
? Perform root cause analysis of Connected Car IT Services problems and develop resolution plans
? Benchmark and review performance of Connected Car IT Services and make recommendations for improvement or upgrade requirements
? Implement and optimize processes and policies (strategy, design, transition, operation) in the Connected Car Area
? Determines Connected Car IT Services requirements by analysing needs of users/departments; prioritizing modifications to Connected Car IT Services; developing and implementing documentation requirements related to the Connected Car areas
? Understand overall service offering and assist in developing and executing future Connected Car IT Services strategies based upon customer (internal business department) demand, financial constraints, trends, and new technologies
? Present updates regarding the services including the roadmap, operations challenges and integrations
? Provide monthly or quarterly Service Review/Report to the leader
? Coordination and implementation of comprehensive Connected Car IT Services operation according to VW group processes and international industry standards
? Manage and govern Infrastructure Management Services for Connected Car IT Services defining and proposing systems landscape and strategy
? Prepare and drive decision proposals for Connected Car IT Services and processes optimization
? Manage support information by documenting policies and processes, maintain all documentations for deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and problem resolution activities
? Manage the Local IT Service Experience by managing the service partners against SOWs and SLAs, continuously monitoring the customer experience and executing globally consistent support strategies
? Manage and monitor overall maintenance agreements and contracts (run time and budget) to ensure continuous service level agreement (SLA)
? Manage, negotiate and create 3rd party outsourcing service contracts incl. the consolidation of requirements
? Interact with business team to understand service level agreements and communicate the same to team members
? Conduct risk assessment and develop mitigation plans, perform incident analysis and suggest action items
? Work with the team to develop problem management and service improvement plans
? Identify and create potential synergy with VW Group IT Services and Operations
? Manage IT and process related projects including rollout of VW Group solutions, local business process reengineering and system development
? Drive continuous IT Service improvements by evaluating and upgrading processes
? Effectively communicate scope and manage expectations among all parties involved in a timely manner; and maintain business relationship professionally
? Provide technological recommendation and leadership in the development and implementation regarding to system architecture, data architecture, business processes, security, scalability and performance
? Ensure continues knowhow transfer from VW Group to local teams and support units
? Continuously analyse, review and re-check the existing IT business processes in the above mentioned areas to be more efficient, more effective and more capable of change
? Analyse and evaluate existing business processes and consolidate business requirements with strong focus on customer orientation and cost aspect
? Manage and improve the processes to deliver value-added products and services to the business departments
? Take charge of coordination with other business units in case of cross-unit responsibilities or dependencies for above mentioned service areas
? Evaluate business cases (ROI/TCO) to ensure cost efficiency of projects and operations
? Drive request for information (RFI) and request for proposal (RFP) process and evaluate the technical proposals
? Setup and manage projects by international industry project management standard (PMP) especially focused on scope, budget, quality, time and resources
? Manage projects for both IT services and business aspects and ensure the alignment of local and central teams objectives, standards and policies
? Manage partners/vendors to deliver the requested products, solutions and services
? Finalize the project delivery with completed documentation
? Make sure the handover process to operation is fully defined and executed
? Specification of the strategic objectives of the Monitoring and event management and coordination of the Monitoring and Event management process across the Connected Car Service areas and ensure compliance with the Group standards, relevant legal regulations, industry standards and organizational policies.
? Continuously analyse, review and re-check the existing Monitoring and Event Management processes in the Connected Car Service Operation areas to be more efficient, more effective and to minimize risks and impact to the services quality and availability. Measuring and evaluating related KPIs.
? Coordinate and maintain integration and configuration management activities related to : trouble-shooting, identification, control, audit and status accounting for software and documentation
? Maintain the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) and related documentation for Connected Car areas
? Support Specification of the strategic objectives of the Service planning and Transition management and coordination of the Transition management process across the Connected Car areas
? Continuously analyze, review and re-check the existing Service planning and Transition Management process in the Connected Car areas to be more efficient,
? more effective and to minimize risks and impact of transitions. Defining, measuring and evaluating related KPIs
? Continuously analyze, review and update existing ITSM processes and documentation in the Connected Car area to be more efficient, more effective and to minimize risks and impact to quality of the service delivery. Defining, measuring and evaluating related KPIs
? Cooperate within other IT service process areas (e.g. Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management) based on the tasks assigned to appropriate process roles with focus to the service quality, stability and availability.
Our Requirements:
Necessary education:
? Bachelor or Master in computer science or equivalent
? Additional master in business administration or business science would be an advantage
Technical skills:
Expert knowledge in IT Service Management Standards (ITIL Version 3), expert knowledge in Data analytics, Process analysis & Project Management Standards (PMP or equivalent) and deep experience in operation and project/program management according to VW Group Standards. Solid knowledge about the VW Group SOP Planning and ability to identify the operations and business requirements, analyse group and state-of-art solutions and define concepts to set up and maintain sustainable IT Services.
? Expert knowledge and experience in the AppDynamics monitoring tools and technologies
? In addition, knowledge and experience in other IT service and infrastructure monitoring and reporting technologies is desired
? Understanding of technologies used for a big data analyses - Hadoop based environment
? Understanding of Web interface technology (e.g. RESTfull, SOAP)
? Experience with Telematics or any vehicle connectivity project in automotive industry
? Deep understanding of infrastructure architectures and basic concepts (e.g. Network Technologies, Storage, Cloud, Backup Technologies, Redundancy concepts, Monitoring Technologies, Ticketing System, Knowledge Database)
? Experience and knowledge of key performance indicators, critical success factors and vital business functions
? Understanding of needs of business users including achieving user satisfaction by serving Connected Car IT Services with high quality
? Understanding Monitoring and reporting tools role to ensure service stability, issue tracking and pro-active action to solve incidents or problems
? Deep understanding of the IT Security concepts and methodologies
? Deep understanding IT backend and frontend technology, e.g. interface technologies, Mobile App development or Web portal development
? Strong background and experience in learning new applications and tools
? Understanding of software maintenance methodologies, concepts and software development environments
? General understanding in purchasing, controlling and finance processes
? Familiar with the usage of standard project management tools (MS Project, MS Visio, Ticketing Systems, knowledge management, reporting and monitoring tools)
? Understanding of optimization of IT Service related planning and operative processes and tasks
? Understanding of the information technologies used in above mentioned areas
? Proven ability to absorb, master and leverage emerging technologies
? Know how to train and guide external partners in IT related Tasks

Working experience (in years):
? 7 years’ experience with standard software/SDLC processes and procedures
? At least 5 years’ experience in IT Services Management (ITIL)
? At least 3 years knowledge in IT project management (PMP or equivalent)
? At least 3 years’ experience with an IT Service monitoring of medium and/or large environments in telematics area (AppDynamics monitoring tools strong knowledge are desired)
? Experience with a Web interface technology environment (e.g. RESTfull, SOAP)
? Experience with IT Architecture design and implementation
? At least 5 years’ experience in software development and/or in application management area, preferably for large-scale client/server and web-based software in the automotive and/or production industry
? Familiar with IT Security Concepts in the areas mentioned above
? Familiar with IT Service Planning, Delivery and Optimization (incl. Budgeting)
? Experience driving request for information (RFI) and request for proposal (RFP) processes and evaluate the technical proposals
? Experience to establish new IT Services including International Transition and Knowledge Transfer
? Experience in leading Project Teams and enhancing Team Quality
? Experience in managing partners/vendors to deliver the requested products, solutions and services
? Experience in Documentation and Reporting
