Posting Title Multimedia – Display Customer Engineer
Job Overview Display Customer Engineering team is involved in supporting display technology on Qualcomm customer devices such as smart phone, tablets, IOT etc. The team works closely with customers to debug/resolve critical issues, document, train and commercialize Qualcomm technologies. The candidate will work as part of a team to Support, Customize, Optimize for display software on customer devices. The ideal candidate has background working with framebuffer driver, or DRM/KMS driver, Android surface flinger, MIPI DSI, Display port, overlays and image processing as well as software design and development in embedded system C, C++ and assembly language coding (ARM, DSPs). He/she is expected to be familiar with Linux Android environment, including the drivers, Android git process, Android applications (APK), Eclipse development. The candidate will be required to interact and drive various dependent teams during debugging of customer issues and documentation/training. Candidate must also have a willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally, often on short notice.
Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of experience in the following areas are required: Multimedia/display/GPU C/C++ programming skills with minimum of 3 years’ experience in Embedded Software Systems Software design Programming with real-time operating systems/micro kernel in ARM Strong English communication and interpersonal skills Creating or managing software build environment with : Make, Git, Eclipse,
Preferred Qualifications Strong problem solving, communication and documentation skills
Graphics knowledge, such GPU architecture, OpenGL, OpenCL and AR/VR experience is good plus
Educational Requirements Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
