General Responsibilities:
Vendor performance management.
Set up sustainable vendor pool and portfolio management.
Cost control.
Vendor contract management.
Support BD/KAM for new and extended business.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Vendor performance management:
Manages standard vendors and aligns the process for domestic transportation across the country.
Organizes and conducts regular KPI reviews with vendors on monthly/quarterly basis.
Improves existing vendors’ KPI performance and failure analysis/KPI to ensure service quality.
Analyze operational problems and produce solutions to meet customers’ satisfaction, assist team in the establishment of customer services standards.
Set up sustainable vendor pool and portfolio management:
Establish & maintain the database of existing/potential vendors.
Develops new vendors who provide good services and strong network depending the business scopes.
Set up the vendor compliance criteria and audit process.
Cost control:
Establish & maintain transportation rate database and cost analysis.
Analyzes existing business volume, routes & vendor optimization to achieve cost reduction.
To create optimal conditions to ensure lowest possible cost & fulfillment of service levels – ensure the cost effectiveness in the market and maintaining high service level.
Vendor contract management:
Negotiate and proceed the contracts with new or existing service provider.
Contract extension with existing vendors.
Support BD/KAM for new and extended business:
Set up database of potential vendor with different service lane & market rate for potential business development.
Search qualified vendors with competitive rate to fulfil RFQ requirement.
Communications
Internal –Customer service, operation, business development.
External – Clients, subcontractors.
Qualifications:
Competency Requirements Desired Level*
Communication L3; Strong communication skill, technical sales mindset;
Customer Service L3; Strongly sales oriented with excellent service etiquette; Make the customers feel at ease
Team Work L3; Cooperative, and real team player with broad business insight;
People Management L3; Self-disciplined;
Problem Solving L3; Strong analytical skills and be solution provider: Excel/Database/mathematics understanding
Result Orientation L4; Can use resources to achieve goals and objectives within timeline;
Qualifications Requirements
Knowledge & Skills Have a good understanding of transportation market. Good communication skills. Balance both customers’ and DSV interests. Good knowledge of the transport industry and China market. Good in English, both written and spoken.
Education & Presenting Computer skilled (presentation and excel analysis)
Experience 5+ year work experiences in same industry with vendor management. Background for global 3PL will be preferred
Personal Characteristics Accountable and responsible; Positive attitude under high pressure. Trouble shooting and emergency response.
