Job Summary
 
The need to bring innovative, high-quality products to market faster is driving the use of models during the design and realization process. Model-based design provides efficiency in product development that enable companies to deliver products on time, on budget, and with the required performance.

The primary responsibility of this Application Engineering (AE) position is to manage the technical aspects of the sales process. The AE will spend a majority of their time applying Simulink and MATLAB capabilities to the development of controls applications. They will focus on modeling electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment that is controlled by embedded software.

Responsibilities

* Provide technical pre-sales support and guidance to sales representatives. The Application Engineer assists the salesperson first, in understanding and synthesizing customer requirements, and then in explaining the features and capabilities of our products relative to these requirements.
* Prepare and deliver proof-of-concept presentations to customers and prospects during customer meetings and seminars.
* Support customer product evaluations. This requires assisting customers in the development and application of MATLAB/Simulink programs that solve specific problems.
* Share customer experiences with other Application Engineers and members of the Marketing, and Development groups to ensure that future products truly meet and exceed expectations.

Minimum Qualifications

* Candidates must be willing to travel 25% to 50% of the time
* A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required.

Additional Qualifications

* Significant experience in applying CAE tools to real-world engineering problems.
* Knowledge of MATLAB / Simulink is a must.
* Specialization in electrical, mechanical or hydraulic modeling & simulation is required.
* Demonstrated ability to perform computational analysis, modeling, and simulation tasks.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Interest in working directly with customers to help them understand how to apply our products to their problems.
* Experience in embedded software development is a plus
* Knowledge of Model Based Design and Code Generation is a big plus 举报 分享
