Senior Manager, External Affairs & Government Relationship
Location: Beijing

Job Purpose:
RICS is the leading organisation of its kind in the world for professionals in property, land, construction and related environmental issues. With over 180,000 members worldwide, they are ideally placed to produce authoritative, and targeted, professional practice standards and information for property professionals and those with an interest in the world of property. The organization has around 1000 staff worldwide with its global headquarters in Parliament Square, London.
The role will be tasked typically with promoting RICS standards to the government, non-commercial organizations and leading enterprises in the industry and enhance the recognition of RICS within these accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
?Support development and implementation of country External Affairs&Government Relationship plans to optimize and defend market access, shape policy environment, and position RICS as the government advisor of choice on building environment;
?Identify, analyze and report significant legislative and regulatory proposals and initiatives that may affect the building environment and impact RICS’ expansion strategy in China;
?Build, maintain and strengthen strategic relationships with relevant government departments, national level associations, international kindred bodies etc.
?Plan and organize high level meetings and round tables regularly to improve the engagement with governments and industry associations;
?Engagement with government, non-commercial organizations and relevant enterprises to promote RICS standards and achieve the adoption targets of RICS China;
?Draft, edit and project-specific messaging and materials, like talking points, SPAs, presentations etc.
?Develop and maintain the updated data of key campaigns and activities on CRM to assess progress on individual, team and country-specific goals.
?Collaborate and support other teams of RICS China to build RICS reputation and raise awareness about RICS qualification, training, conference etc. in the market;

Experience Requirements:
-Bachelor degree or above in marketing, business or related major is desirable;
-Near 10 years of experience on external affairs or government relationship, working in building environment is a plus but not necessary;
-Outstanding ability to build relationships and use influence effectively in a variety of settings, both within the company and with external organizations, including public officials, industry associations and other relevant parties;
-Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex ideas to senior level management;
-High motivation and ability to cope with pressure: shows high level of self-motivation, keeps performing when working under pressure;
