Project Manager
Key Contacts:
The Project Manager under general supervision of either, a Project Manager Lead (PML), Senior Project Manager or a Programme Manager, leads and directs concurrent Primer “managed” type projects or projects classified as standard or complex projects or one larger “managed” project. The individual is also involved in larger scale projects supervised by more senior Project and/or Programme Managers.

High Level Job Description
The Project Manager takes projects from original concept through to final implementation. This person will interface with all stakeholders.
The Project Manager adheres to and ensures that the project delivers the as-sold solution, remains within baselined budget, is delivered on time, while achieving quality criteria and maintaining client satisfaction. The individual is competent in project change management. He or she demonstrates good team leadership, motivation ability and business acumen. The individual has a good understanding of project life cycles, and takes responsibility for all aspects of the full life-cycle of the assigned projects.
The Project Manager translates the offered solutions into project plans and objectives and delivers according to these. The individual manages customer satisfaction, commitment and expectations to high service levels and manages escalations adequately. Project set-up, resources and operations are efficiently managed, possibly with the assistance of the Project Coordinator or Administrator.
They may communicate with key stakeholders regarding the status of specific projects. The individual possesses advanced communication, influencing and negotiating ability, displaying confident and credible writing and verbal ability.
The individual's project management skills have advanced through certification, experience and consistent successful project delivery. This is translated into a higher level of proficiency and a balanced overall performance.
Assistance is provided to Pre-Sales & Sales team with customer sales engagement.
The individual needs to be able to lead bigger teams effectively. They act as people managers by monitoring the performance of the assigned project team members and provide feedback to the line managers. They ensure that the employees reporting into them are engaged and understand their career opportunities, by taking responsibility for the development and training of their team members.
The Project Manager ensures that the project team has access to the relevant project management tools and have the general means to perform their role.
They take full responsibility for client satisfaction and ensure that the Project team displays the right level of client engagement. The individual will be required to promote project services to both external and internal clients.
As corporate citizens they act as role-models to the teams, they display assertiveness and act as an example when it comes to client satisfaction. They are motivational and inspirational leaders with superior decision making skills and assertiveness
Strong business acumen and a good understanding of general technology concepts are required. The individual works towards advanced project management certification.
