The Oracle Cloud Security organization is tasked with providing expert security knowledge and operational assessment of the various cloud systems. This includes security policy/standards definition, operation/monitoring of security infrastructure in the cloud, regulatory compliance, and security testing for various systems that comprise the cloud environment.
 
This is a technical security engineering and operations role within Oracle cloud delivery. Focus will be on managing and monitoring security infrastructure and performing information security related tasks. Assist with compliance of internal and external audits. Candidate should have knowledge in information security, advanced systems administration and a thorough understanding of networking, IaAM (Identity and Access Management) operating system, database, and web delivery.
 
This is primarily an operational role responsible for builds, maintenance and support of supplemental security systems such as: VPN, core networking, proxy, packet aggregation, netflow, access management, configuration management, monitoring, and performance management. Should have a strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, networking and firewalling concepts. Beyond network and appliance device management, a good understanding of both Linux and Windows operating system functionality, scripting and patching is important.
 
Role will work as part of a team managing security operating policies, procedures and other documentation. Will assist with compliance of internal and external audits. Running multiple time sensitive projects and communication with other internal security staff will be key. Ideally, candidate will have experience in Internet facing systems management and assessing cross-platform potential infrastructural security vulnerabilities.
 
Specific skills should include:
? LDAP experience (OpenLDAP, Active Directory, eDirectory, etc.), RADIUS (including vendor attribute awareness), and SAML. Experienced in Identity and Access Management technologies. Prefer experience in federation between ldap environments as well.
? Cisco IOS on firewalls and switches, Cisco AnyConnect, Juniper Firewalls. In addition, experience with network routing principles and philosophies.
? Configuration Management on platforms such as Chef and/or Puppet
? Database Management (MySQL, Oracle SQL, etc.) including installing, tuning, and maintaining.
? Expected to install, configure, tune and maintain servers in a highly available and scalable environment, working with multiple hypervisor technologies and building disaster recovery solutions.
 
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Background
? Experienced technical professional of current network hardware and standards
? Specific experience and technical knowledge using Cisco and Juniper networking technologies
? Specific technical knowledge of client and LAN to LAN, VPN technologies
? Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining OS services and networking
? Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols, firewall management, and database administration
? Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience
? College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 5+ years equivalent work experience

? Experience with Windows Server and Oracle Linux
? Experience with various security technologies such as IDS, proxy, taps, SIEM
 
Work Conditions
? On-call availability for seven days per month
